He's quality, and people will come to realise it when they pack away the baggage they took from the Rodri thread, to dump on Jack's.

Starting LW for me right now.

Foden looks less interested there and would rather play a more central attacking role in Kevin's spot.

Personally, I'd just rotate in our 2 center attacking spots between (Haaland, Alvarez, and Foden) so they all play plenty.

This means you drop KdB deeper in the 2 which, yes, is a worse position for him, but better for the other players in the long term. Also let's us play Bernie less, because even though he is the best partner to Rodri, if he doesn't want to be here, then KdB who does might as well play there.

He isn't getting younger, and it'll be easier for him to spring the ball forward from deep, rather than from higher up the pitch (it's a net loss from him overall, but gain for the squad overall).

This now opens up a rotation option for Grealish that isn't Foden and doesn't need to play every game, say, somebody from the academy by chance? (Ndala or Mebude/Borges if they can be convinced to stay).

Did a good job tracking back, but thought he was really poor going forwards tbh. Was isolated all game with the pretty useless Emerson Royal, with tons of space to run at him, but just couldn't do anything with it. That's any wingers dream scenario, he should be running him ragged there.

Wheb you make mistakes, the least you can do is to track back and work hard. Grealish did that, and also had a couple of brilliant moments. Foden clearly has a higher ceilling, but Grealish is playing for the team much better and he should be starting LW. Even more, he is steadily improvong his offensive output. Go Grealish, because we need every player to be at their top
