Have seen the lad play for a quite a long time, whether it’s villa, england or city he improves every team he plays in with or without goals and assists.

We seen an example of that last year against United. Ran the show with no G+A to show for it. This year he got the goal and was probs our best player when he come on but ends up on the losing side and certain posters go missing again…

Gives 100 per cent every time he’s on the pitch.
Philips once said in an interview 2 years ago about how Grealish always appeared in the right spot when you had problems to help you.

IMO It would settle down the nerves of the backline under pressure. He can smell which teammate is nervous and what needs to be done. Take Ake for example. We all know Ake is not very good at passing on LB position. He is less shaky when Grealish on the wing together.

In this sense I feel that it is better to put him close to Rodri in the midfield if we have a lead to protect and it is the last 15-20minutes. Many times you can see our right hand side struggling to control the ball at the stage while Grealish could only watch from distance across the pitch but cannot help.

I think this goes back to what he said about his instructions at Villa being "work out where on the pitch you're needed, and go there". He's never going to get that freedom at City, but yes if he was more central he would be able to use that instinct more effectively without disrupting our shape.

The problem, of course, is that if you put Jack central for those ball retention/progression qualities, you have to play Phil on the left wing, and as per his thread the majority of people see him as a midfielder (and if he has to be a winger, he's more effective on the right). I'd love to give the pair of them a go in the middle together to see if they could do it, but that's a total no-go without us bringing in another left-winger first.

Pep needs to find a way of firing him up for every game, said it many times, when he is aggressive and fiery he is a top player, the meek, easy going Grealish is crap.

Basically Grealish needs to pick up balls a bit deeper. Look at the 3rd goal in last derby. And the run near the end of this derby which caused Fred yellow card. He picked up ball from Gundo/Bernado a bit deeper and ran into middle. Very useful if the opposite team press us in the front/middle.

This is something dangerous and if we do more like this earlier, Fred will get the yellow early and it will free up KDB. The problem is that majority of the playing time Grealish can only hug the touchline watching Cancelo picks up ball at those position and frankly speaking Cancelo rarely generates runs like this.

Its the nature of being in bad form those on the bench always look like a better option. Two weeks ago everyone was demanding Foden starts and now the same demands for Jack.

Great cameo from him but we need to see it on a regular basis now and particularly when he starts.
It wasn't a "cameo", don't be ridiculous (and learn the meaning of the word). He's had a goal and a bunch of assists recently, but sure, carry on calling for consistency *eye roll*

A gentle reminder to those who need it that we still haven't lost a league game Jack's started.

And he's been managing to improve in spite of Pep interrupting his momentum at every opportunity and the club failing to buy the quality overlapping LB which would have helped his performances hugely.

Didums... Pathetic post... Have you piled onto this thread to criticise his previous 18 months shite performances ... Didn't think so...
Liked his goal, energy and attitude yesterday ... Already commented on that so eat shit fanboy.
God, what a nasty prick you are. Quite apart from anything else he wasn't "shite" for the previous 18 months, and saying so just demonstrates your pathetic agenda. Sorry if you've got a small dick and Grealish makes you feel inadequate.
