Truly, it is the case, just as it has been for other players too. If it was just about what you say, then few would have a problem with it. However, the posts, by some, have been inflammatory, unwarranted, and personal. It isn't difficult: support the players until they leave, or if they have harmed the club with their words or actions.

Here is just one post of many:
His undersized shorts, pulled down socks and ponsey haircut says everything about him. An absolute pre-madonna who is proving to make the money spent on Jo and RSC look like sale of the century. Against Watford his appalling finishing made Grealish their best defender. He even managed to block a goal bound shot. Today, he was useless yet again and his inability to miss an empty goal from 6 yards (He's a £100m player remember!) is beyond the joke. What the likes of Palmer must be thinking watching Grealish is anyone's guess!
It looks to me like someone wasn't getting any, LMFAO...

Class today. We actually lack players that just play calm in the tight situations. Jack got the ball in so many dead ends yet every time he finds a way out. And it’s these situations, where he attracts multiple players to himself, that creates space for KDB… IF Jack can find the solution out of the trap he’s in. And he did. Every time.

And that’s his whole game plan - he attracts players to him and is (recently, especially) so good at picking the right moment to take them on or recycle the ball.

Worked a treat on Wednesday because he was aggressive with the ball, all that’s needed really because I can’t actually think of a time he’s been dispossessed- just taken them on or won a foul. Either way we retain possession.

There was one poster that seemed to spend all day on this thread slagging Jack off. Assume he is giving this thread a swerve now.

We just have to learn to give players time. Some of the same posters are now in the Phillips thread, or the Gomez thread, and these players have barely featured: it is way too early to judge them in any way, positively or negatively, so just give them time.

We do not play a simplistic style of football, nor do we play a style that is played widely elsewhere, so we are often talking of players coming to a new team, in a new country, a new league, an unfamiliar style of play and new tactics. Imagine having to learn all of that, as well as to integrate your family into a new culture and home, while under the microscope of the Premier League. It surely isn't a lot to ask for the fans of your own club to give you every chance possible to become a success, especially after the number of examples that we have seen of players taking a full season to begin to show how good they are.

My OCD is not happy with this thread title, where is the vertical line that's in every other title?

Most weren’t wrong though. Most posts are an evaluation of the most recent game or recent form, so those saying that he wasn’t good enough at the time he wasn’t good enough weren’t wrong unless they said he’d never be good enough.

I was massively critical of him every week for months. My main gripes were that he wasn’t anywhere near aggressive enough, he was too nice and too laidback and that meant he didn’t have enough of an effect on games and didn’t do enough defensively. I don’t think any of that was wrong at the time I said it.
I was hugely critical of him last season and the early part of this, he was hugely underwhelming.

Since the WC he look a different player, a player who now believes he belongs in this team, the difference is night and day much to his credit.

He still has much more to improve on, creation and scoring have to improve but he is a player who has become a huge part of our team.
