What agenda? For saying he should have been subbed? Are you right in the head? I said mahrez should have been subbed too in his thread despite him scoring, do I have an agenda against him too? Not that such a pathetically shit post deserves it but I'll offer an explanation anyway. The entire team, Grealish included, created fuck all second half, we needed something from the bench, he was visibly tired and really struggling to track their left back who was constantly open providing their biggest threat too us and he kept giving it which I'm not the only one to point out so yeah i think he should have come off after 60 minutes or so.

You've had an agenda against Grealish for ages. Just own it.

I have seen it said on here many times that Grealish can’t play at 8. Maybe those people would be proven right, but I fail to see how Grealish could currently be worse there than Gundo. It would also take a shitload of pressure off Grealish to provide G/A and give us the opportunity to get a far more dynamic Foden out wide, who would hopefully be able to provide for Haaland.

That’s pretty much how I see it as well.

Gundogan has been fantastic for us, and still can be, but he looks knackered at the moment and at the very least playing Grealish in the middle for a bit would give us the chance to give Gundogan a rest and get Foden back into the side.

I think Grealish has another 20% in him and playing him in the middle might be the thing which unleashes it. But that would mean taking the handbrake off, and Guardiola doesn’t seem to have any intention of doing that sadly.

Very, very frustrating.

Grealish despite being in the best form of his city career does not score or create enough to warrant a start, the only reason he is starting over Foden is because Foden's form has fallen off the cliff

Plenty, like me, were underwhelmed with his first 18 months and I think thats completely fair. His form recently has actually highlighted why we were critical of him. He‘s playing great now and i hope this is his new normal.

It’s either an agenda or you’re incredibly thick.

Go and take a look at the highlights again… (he was the only person to) put Haaland through on goal and then he sets up Gundogan on a plate which BOTH come in the second half… So much for creating fuck all eh ?

Solid game again tonight, easily one of our best players in the past couple of months

I do wish he would go down the line a bit more and get an early ball into the box now and again, at worst he’ll probably win some corners. He has the ability to do it.

I’d still like to see him drift and take positions up centrally like Mahrez did tonight too, but I guess not having a real left back doing what Walker did tonight on the right makes it harder to do

He’s really dangerous when he runs at defences from a more central position but he’s often pinned to one small area out on the left, obviously it’s tactical but I do think we can get even more out of him if we can find a way to get him drifting to more central positions. He would probably bag more goals too. His finishing isn’t the best for sure, but I don’t think it helps that 90% of his chances rely on cutting inside and shooting when there’s nothing on, and it’s not an easy finish because your angles are limited when doing that.

He’s quality and he’s playing well, I just still feel we can utilise his ability even more.

Perhaps we can give Sergio Gómez a try. Gomez is not a full back but he seems to be a good wing back. Why not try to put him outside Ake and move Grealish inside into a properly 343 shape? At this stage playing Gundo 3 games a week is not sensible. Something we can try, perhaps in FA cup?

Probably our MOTM, and overall a decent performance, but there are many areas which he needs to improve upon.

He dawdles too much on the ball. Very slow at making decisions. He holds onto it too long and either gets hacked down (wasting time and giving us a set piece, which almost always gets cleared by the opposition), runs into traffic and is forced to pass backwards, or gives the wall away in silly positions.

His shooting could be better, too. He had a clear sight of goal and didn't even hit the target. His other shots kept clanging off opponents' shins.
