The only reason? Seems a pretty good reason. That’s like saying the only reason planes can fly better than cars is because they have wings.Grealish despite being in the best form of his city career does not score or create enough to warrant a start, the only reason he is starting over Foden is because Foden's form has fallen off the cliff

He's taking more risks now then ever which is what we need. Pep's possession obsession sh*t Jack up first season. Everyone getting called out in debriefs im I bet. Led to Jack on others getting head down and just making 5 yard easy passes back to full back. I have a feeling he had a proper grown up chat with Pep and staff = better. Not great but def betterOur best player since the WC but come on Jack take some risks.

Play him inside and let’s see what he can do. Get Foden outside him in left and see if Jack running through middle creates more space for Foden and Halaand. People can praise his ball retention but must accept he’s ineffective really out wide.

I think lots has to improve about his game. I doubt many teams worry about his name in the team sheet.I agree, but to play him inside i think his split second decision making needs to improve.

Does anyone think like me that Jack has improved both his tackling and confidence of late and that could mean him moving into a more central role?
I said in the post match thread that if we went 4-3-3 with Kev, Rodri and Jack deeper and Phil, Erling and Julian up top it would be very exciting and a nod to the future. I think it would offer increased fluidity and better work rate to help when we are out of possession. Bellingham ultimately would be ideal to take Kev's role. It seems likely that Bernie and Gundo may be off so it's a progression and I would love to see Pep give it a go. We have to get the best out of our best assets and currently we are not.
