Lol, well that was a definitive answer :)

Guessing you, like me have never been in a transfer meeting with Txiki & Pep, but I really don’t believe they sat down, looked at the previous season & went, ‘right, we’ve dominated every game we’ve played this season, so what we need is a game changer’

Change what? Go from dominating games to not dominating games?

Isn’t it more realistic that they looked at shit load of data on what he’s good at & not good at, then decided he’d be a great fit for the system, improve the squad & up our HG quota?

It’s the year 2022 mate. MCFC now have a first team squad, most of whom will all play a similar amount of games, so in my eyes every single player is a squad player

System over individual game changers every time for me mate, which is why we continue to win when KDB, our only genuine ‘game changer’, is out injured for any length of time

Jack was 10th in minutes in the league last year, which ain't bad for a squad player. As you say, many of our players fit the tag squad player.

Not particularly a good thing.

There was a moment yesterday where he got brought down and their player got booked, but he had actually got past him and could have stayed on his feet and headed towards goal while they had a broken defence.

Winning a free kick just allows the opposition to get back in position and set up to make it difficult for us again.

I don’t think Grealish is playing poorly or owt, just one observation I made yesterday that you reminded me of.

I don't keep a count of whether he could stay on his feet or not but he gets fouled a lot because he is difficult to deal with, which is a very good thing.

Or, he gets fouled a lot because he hangs on to the ball far too long.

Depends which way you see it I guess. What you see as a positive some see as a negative.

Some people can’t see past their bile, mate.

I’m far kinder than you mate, I think it’s a misunderstanding of what a Pep Guardiola team is & that there is no I in team

All about patterns of play over individualism. Our movement as a team is fucking mind boggling & he’s a big part of that movement

We’d all love him to have 5 assists a game, but that fact that he keeps on getting picked says he’s doing his job to me

Was it becuase of him

For instance...take KDB out for a season...do we have more or less chance of winning the league. - I think everyone would say less chance of winning..Im not saying we dont win it but Im saying we would have a reduced chance of it

Take Grealish out of the team do we have less more or the same chance of winning the league - Id say the same chance of winning the league

Absolutely. Just one notable example, without his goal / performance in the second half at West Ham there’s a good chance we wouldn’t have rescued a draw and that would have been the title lost.
