So you are on here commenting when you didn't actually even see him play.

By spectacular I am referring to him taking on and beating lots of players, which he has shown he can do, as can Little Phil, but Pep get players to limit how much they do that, in favour of an extra pass...

Jack keeps the ball well, still wins plenty of freekicks, and is playing good passes. He's simply playing like a City player and good enough for City does win you things.

Pep himself recently commented Jack was brought here to help us win things and he won the Premier League with us. He was also damned unlucky not to personally seal a trip to another UCL final for us.

Not particularly a good thing.

There was a moment yesterday where he got brought down and their player got booked, but he had actually got past him and could have stayed on his feet and headed towards goal while they had a broken defence.

Winning a free kick just allows the opposition to get back in position and set up to make it difficult for us again.

I don’t think Grealish is playing poorly or owt, just one observation I made yesterday that you reminded me of.

He was brought in to be a game changer in big games. Coming on as a sub when 3-0 up against Bournemouth isn't worth any discussion.

Not enough, when he does, when he gets angry he is a different player, a very good player, far too passive at times, the angry , aggressive Grealish is quality.

but I have not been impressed with his performances so far in a City shirt. I expected so much more. Hopefully he can kick on and start becoming a City Legend.

I agree 100 percent not been impressed whatsoever. His best game was vs scum 4-1.. But nothing like his villa days. But a loan to girona? Lol imo he will be back with villa or someone like that in 3 years time

It's a part of the game at every level. "Get in his ear" is a standard instruction to anyone playing against someone with a short fuse.

Jack is very good at it. Mario was better.

An interesting take -
Grealish played the 2nd half of the game in the name of left winger role but actual position was more center like a left attacking mid and roamed closed to Zone 14. Cancelo often held the width and even pushed beyond him at times like a left wing back. Grealish seemed to be clearly instructed by Pep to take more risk and created chances for Halaand. He delivered 2 good balls to Halaand and one was a very good chance during a brief 20min when they both stayed on the pitch. And after Halaand was subbed, Grealish played more like a no10 role while KDB monitored him behind. It seemed to be very different to Foden's role in the 1st half when Foden acted more like a runner besides Halaand.

It might be an interesting experiment by Pep to explore how to best use our new striker. It makes much more sense to me than deploying him hugging touchline.

Guessing you, like me have never been in a transfer meeting with Txiki & Pep, but I really don’t believe they sat down, looked at the previous season & went, ‘right, we’ve dominated every game we’ve played this season, so what we need is a game changer’

Change what? Go from dominating games to not dominating games?

Isn’t it more realistic that they looked at shit load of data on what he’s good at & not good at, then decided he’d be a great fit for the system, improve the squad & up our HG quota?

It’s the year 2022 mate. MCFC now have a first team squad, most of whom will all play a similar amount of games, so in my eyes every single player is a squad player

System over individual game changers every time for me mate, which is why we continue to win when KDB, our only genuine ‘game changer’, is out injured for any length of time
