If he's not careful, Southgate will take the opportunity to act the strong man and not name Jack in his World Cup squad.

Any excuse to shoehorn Rashford or Sancho in at this late stage.

Well that be a good thing for us!

Southgate will be pressured into picking Rashford just because the media go into overdrive when he scores a goal and always mention he should be in contention of the world cup squad.. I wouldn’t be bothered if Grealish Fodne and Walker don’t go to the World Cup

Great game from Jack, he makes the team flow better when he's out there. His ability to efficiently work the ball up the pitch is great for getting us quick scoring opportunities.

Playing with Gomez seems to be a better match for him than Cancelo. Jack is best when he is working to the inside, and Gomez is shows a great threat overlapping on the outside which gives Jack more space. I always felt Jack and Cancelo were trying to do the same thing and would cause multiple defenders to be near the ball.

As for the frustration when he was brought off, I think it was as simple as he felt pretty good and knew he missed a few opportunities. But as other posters have commented, there was no way he was going to play a full 90 in his (first?) game back from an ankle injury.

He'll be icing that ankle after running on it for a while longer, it's just part of the recovery from that kind of nagging injury. I recently tweaked an ankle playing pickup basketball, and while it didn't seem terrible at first, it still bothered me almost 3 months later. But to be fair, his treatment might be a little higher quality than mine.

Be careful what you wish for...

It will be a big blow to the player mentally if he doesn't make it. Not good for them at all.

Yes that is my thought as well.

Also have a funny feeling. Pep seems to have some soft spot for him ever since that Bournemouth game.

Right but Jack's finishing has always been a bit wank. You can't really level that accusation at Kev.

I don't think there's any harm in pointing out the bits he can improve because if he does work on his weaknesses than he'll go in to be that player some people think he can be.
Yeah, him keep dragging shots wide of the near post is something he definitely needs to work on

Do u think that he is in danger of being left out of the squad? He does not have any status but Mason Mount hasn't got any as well.

People really believe everything they see on television aren't they, the thing is we truly don't know if he sulk or not.

Not sure what he’s done wrong to drop out of the England squad but then it’s pretty obvious I’m watching a different Grealish compared to some on here.

In order to unlock Jack's ability he needs a LB who could overlap with him. Using Gomez at LB position could help him a lot.
