The thing that pisses me off about him most is his shooting. Last night he was 10 yards out, in space, and he dragged it wide.

Kevin was clean through 1-on-1 and put it straight at the keeper. Players miss chances.

As per the Phil’s thread if he plays with a natural left back, then he will come good, not that he’s been bad. With cancleo at left back he will be what he has been for us OK.

Right but Jack's finishing has always been a bit wank. You can't really level that accusation at Kev.

I don't think there's any harm in pointing out the bits he can improve because if he does work on his weaknesses than he'll go in to be that player some people think he can be.

I don't think there's a problem with pointing it out, but that's the first post robbieh's made in this thread about Grealish's performance last night. Grealish played really well but because he dragged a shot wide, that's what we need to stick on and point out? If it was balanced with reasonable critique of his performance then fair enough but just saying "his finishing pisses me off" contributes nothing to the discussion.

Yeah maybe you've got a point. Can't say I've kept up with what they've said before about Grealish but most player threads on here have certain posters who refuse to point out anything other than the negatives but I suppose the opposite is true as well. It's all very binary at times.

There's also no harm in pointing out that he was sulking when he got hooked, because he was,and anybody defending that is blind, the camera panned in on him,but he held back of proper spitting the dummy as it dawned on him in that split second that it's Pep he's dealing with here, not Gareth fucking Southgate, who brings him on then brings him off.

Needs to improve Jacky boy,I've still got hope................

He's definitely not a natural goal scorer. Never has been.

When Sport Bible reported that he'd fallen out with Pep on the touchline a few matches ago, Jack rightly told them to go fuck themselves and consensus here was good for him, the media make up their own narratives and they should be called out for it.

A few matches later, he looks a bit gutted when he's substituted, and far too many here are looking for a dramatic narrative where there probably isn't one.

His first game back from injury, he almost certainly wasn't expecting to play the full match, and Pep probably discussed with him before the match and at half time the plan to take him off after an hour.

Maybe he was annoyed because he thought he could have contributed more. Maybe he was in pain with his ankle - he was straight to the bench, boot off and ice on. Either way, he looked more upset than angry to me, I thought Pep was trying to reassure him, and things are obviously okay between them as Pep was praising him after the match.

He's an emotional player, for good or bad, and Pep and the club know that, and if he's not happy he won't pretend to be. I don't see that that has to be a problem.

He's definitely not a natural goal scorer. Never has been.

I agree with this. He's occasionally scored some pretty goals but he doesn't have a goalscorer's instinct. I think he can improve but at the same time, we didn't buy him with the thought he'd score a load.
