I thought Gomes got in his way a lot of the time, would have liked to see him play more centrally to see what he could do.
Yeah, I thought they clicked better in the past, but somehow, not as much yesterday. I actually thought he should have used Gomez a few more times, but he just kept on cutting in more centrally. The one time he used Gomez out wide, we almost scored when Gomez crossed it to Alvarez (but it got cleared in the end).

Overall, I agree that Jack could definitely do a lot of damage centrally. He never loses the ball, which is critical in the middle of the park, and is technically sublime. He is having a great season, IMO, and we are so lucky to have him and Doku as our LW options. Incredible.

Not sure he is having a great season, but fully agree we are lucky to have both him and Doku. If I was a manager (god help a team if I was), then these 2 would be ideal.

Tough games Jack to help keep control and if that doesn’t work Doku as a game changer.

So called easier games if your winning a change to help retain control and see the game out.

Great option to have

He nearly rode that wave all the way to a treble. By his own admission he didn't show up in either the FA cup or Champions League Finals.
That's quite correct, I did read of his own honest assessment of his under-performance. I used the clip I read to respond to an article by some reporter that; after the CL, Jack was arrogant in claiming to be the star of the match. Simply a total fabrication.

Let's wait when KDB and Haaland are back...
Foden plays centrally Gundo position...

That's when we need more players with ball control abilities, so that tempo is controlled..

Grealish and Bernardo will be crucial for us to help Rodri and Stones...

Foden-Haaland-KDB will be players who accelerate and try to get some goals in the final third.

TBH I don't see Doku in that team as a starter...

------------John-----------Rodri--------------
Bernie-------------------------------Grealish
-----------KDB-------------Foden-------------
------------------Haaland----------------------

That's our starting 11 after the winter break...
