Has to start every important game, he doesn't get the numbers but our attacking play is miles better when he's there.

How ? De bruyne was man of the match by a mile. He played well second half after a fairly quiet first half but De Bruyne was magnificent.

Because without grealish those goals wouldn’t have happened. I just thought overall he added so much control to the side.

There is no doubt that Jack is a great and talented player. With so much talent he should be converting many more chances. It's really weird that, for all his undoubted skill with a ball, he is so poor at shooting. He played really well today and definitely could have scored a couple of goals if he took his chances. If he can improve this side of his game he will be an absolute world beater.

This is why you need to also look at SCA (shot creating actions) to add to a players stats regarding creativity.

David Silva was the king of this stat, and Grealish ranks extremely high here as well.

Indeed. Unfortunately no one will ever quote those stats and will point to his G/A and say he doesn't do much.

More often than not we play better with him on the pitch.

So important to how we play. he retains possession so well and brings other into play.

He is also a world class at winding up the opposition, still smile every time I think about Savic and Athletico.

Looking more like the Jack from last season , he keeps the ball draws at least two defenders and wins free kicks a real pain in the arse for opposition full backs , if only he would shoot more , he scored plenty of goals for Villa we need him to have a go from distance , he is capable.

Fully agree. Without Grealish we just don’t have anyone who can effectively slow the game down out wide and draw others to him. Finding/Developing someone else to do that on the other side will be key for next season; we can then use Doku as the opposite threat on either flank.

Very, very good today. Fitness, focus and confidence are absolutely key - he and the club need to work on maximising all 3. He's come back strong from the last injury and hopefully he can keep building through to the end of the season.
