Doku is going to really highlight how unproductive grealish is. It took him mere minutes to do more than grealish did the entire 90. Needs to sharpen up big time if he doesn't want to be permanently sat on the bench. Doku and foden are the first 2 wide picks by an absolute mile right now.

Jack has been injured so I wouldn’t have thought he’d be first choice now to be fair. completely different players for me being asked to do different things

What have I just read? So Jack isn’t a proper winger and his play is ‘boring as fuck’

Did you not watch any games last season? He was crucial to us winning the treble and produced excellent performances in most of the big games.

He’s also just come back from injury , but let’s write him off already. What a load of shite

He 100% isn't a proper winger, and yes, when he plays at that pace he is boring as fuck, you can debate it all you like, but it is what it is, he's one of my favourite players but in a game when you need an attacking threat he doesn't offer it, he's fantastic at controlling the tempo in a game where we have already stuck goals away like we did last season.

There's nobody writing him off. If you think he played well and was a productive threat put wide tonight then fair enough mate.

Fan of jack but 0/10 the worst player on the pitch tonight. Looked drunk. Didnt take on his man once and passed to ake all night. Him shooting is a waste of time.

He wasnt interested in taking on the full back and was negative for ninety minutes , Doku did more in twenty minutes than Jack did all the game , he will have to buck his ideas up because Doku is looking sharp and hungry and a natural replacement on the left wing.
Maybe a match fitness issue , first game back after a lay off at least he got some minutes in his legs.

Calm down mate. I have seen blue moon jumped on Kev when he returned from injury and played not up to his level. So what do you expect for here...

First 90 mins since coming back from injury in a game Pep never really wanted to win and with a bit of a hodge-podge line up but of course he’s shit isn’t he.

If I could put money on the predictable posts on here I’d be rich by now.

Grealish has attributes that really work for us in games where keeping the ball is paramount. He gives us a level of control in games that most wingers aren’t able to provide. Doku will lose the ball far more than Grealish over 90mins and Pep wont want that against the top sides who can punish us. However, against most sides, we want/need our wingers to provide G/A and Doku is far more progressive than Grealish. There’s space for them both in this side.

I used to get shit when I criticised Balotelli as many on here believed he was the 2nd coming and could do no wrong. A great character a brilliant penalty taker but often didn't deliver what he was capable of....
Same with Grealish ,a trendy haircut and a great guy but....
For me he is bang average most of the time. The plaudits he gets when he does something well are out of proportion to the times he doesn't.
The cheap shot on here is to label any critic 'a hater' but that could not be further from the truth. I'd love to see him getting out of 3rd gear.
