After last season’s treble and fans saying he deserves to celebrate like a piss head well this is the results , the foreign players don’t behave like this only English players and that’s why we win fuck all.

Leeway for the fact he is building fitness, but he was shite last night.

When leaders and fighters were in short supply,he was happy to stay on easy street......and that disappointed me.The fact Doku came on and immediately displayed the opposite, only served to highlight Jack's poor contribution.

I guarantee Livramento doesnt get the MOTM award had he faced Doku for 90 mins.

Hopefully we see the real Jack very soon,he really needs to get his head down and reignite,as his season hasn't yet got close to starting.

He has returned to going through the motions again, he has to do far more and do it consistently, last night he may have had the excuse of lack of match fitness but now he has to kick on and get back to last seasons level and better it.

Doku may be the perfect kick up the ass he looks to need.

What have I just read? So Jacks play is ‘boring as fuck’

Did you not watch any games last season? He was crucial to us winning the treble and produced excellent performances in most of the big games.

He’s also just come back from injury , but let’s write him off already. What a load of shite
He was doing the same thing last season, just our players made lemonade out of lemons. I will say though he was good defensively last season

He's been injured for weeks, he was playing in a makeshift lineup in a low-priority match.

No, he wasn't great, although honestly I don't think he was as catastrophically bad as some are implying. Clearly lacking match fitness and that showed in everything he did but he still took care of the ball for us and I saw a few very nice passes.

I suspect that most players at that level of recovery from an injury are putting in those sorts of performances in training matches rather than competitive ones in front of a crowd. But we need him back at full strength as soon as possible and that coincided with a match where we could afford to have him not fully at the races, so he played and hopefully that pays off.

I think the 90 minutes in his legs will do him the world of good, the club now needs to monitor his recovery over the next few days and see how much it's taken out of him.

I don't see the point in comparing him to Doku. They may occupy the same position but their roles are different and we're going to need both of them throughout the season. We've got multiple options in most positions in the pitch but generally preferring one doesn't result in so much vitriol towards the one you don't prefer. Jack just brings it out in some people I guess.

Couldn't agree more

He was extremely frustrating last night. Most of the time didn't even try and beat his man.

Ok fair play, he's just coming back from injury. But still... come on... Think he cut inside and had a proper go once. Against a young right back he should have been testing him every time.
