10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

Aye that’s true, there’s also a saying that goes on the lines of don’t bite the hand that feeds you as well but then again that probably doesn’t matter once you’ve made it as a pro footballer

I don’t know how any City fan can defend this situation at this present moment, I really can’t mate
I get why fans are annoyed, but the vast majority of footballers see representing their country as the pinnacle of their career.

Grealish has won pretty much everything in club football, so he’ll want to win something with England to complete his career. Couple that with being dropped in the summer and I can see why he’s desperate to go.

Against this is the fact we’ve lost 3 in a row and have an injury crisis. That coupled with most fans being indifferent about England creates the animosity towards Grealish.

The timing of Grealish’s recovery is what has created this. Had he been fit 3 days earlier, he’d have played some part against Fulham and gone off to England with Pep’s blessing. Had he been fit 3 days later, then he wouldn’t have been called up at all.

Grealish has weighed up the options and seemingly has decided that annoying Pep isn’t as important as missing games for his country.

He’ll have to face whatever the consequences are in a few weeks.

I understand that but pinnacle of playing for England is a bit extreme, well in my eyes it is, just a bizarre decision for me him going, and as much as I hate the ****, that pisscan over the road wouldn’t have let this happen in a million years, I’m not saying Pep doesn’t have a control but this smells bad all the same

Grealish has made his choice it seems and will have to take the consequence that comes with that decision as you say, interesting times ahead after the break, another headache the club could do without as well

Grealish really needs a run if being injury free and finding his best form. That’ll dampen down all of this.

He’s a lovely guy, but not the brightest button in the box.

England don't play until Thursday, what If City had a game next week (not Thursday, that's the rags' day) then would he not be ok to be involved in that? He has to be available at some point.

All I would say, is if he goes, and he's selected for England, I just hope he isn't rinsed for 180 minutes but has a sensible amount of game time.

What I will say, we have missed him these last few weeks and we need everyone one back and the sooner the better.

Comes across as a bit of a cuntish attitude

Funnily enough going away with England, training and playing a few minutes might actually do him good fitness wise. But there's a complete disconnect with him and pep by the looks of it

Usually I'd agree but we are in a special circumstance. Pep needs as many players as possible staying here during the break so we can get our heads back together after this horror run of games every 3 days and endless injuries and work out a system that doesn't depend on Rodri.

Is it just me or is the weirdest month since Pep arrived and possibly a time that we'll all look back as the major turning point?

Either the beginning of the end or the end of our concerns?

One thing's for certain
Pep isn't happy with anything surrounding Grealish at the moment.
The way Pep answers questions about Grealish reminds me of the way he has answered questions about other players who are no longer here like Cancello, short sharp and with a distinct sense of annoyance.
