10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

Having seen Pep’s reaction and how angry he clearly is I reckon Jack’s done here if Pep extends.
Honestly I wouldn’t be too bothered whether he goes either way.
That’s not a reaction to this call up, that’s cos as much as I like Jack and the control he offers us, he just doesn’t get enough assists or goals.
That was fine and dandy when the rest of the team were scoring, but now it’s becoming a concern.
Jack doesn’t score enough, Doku doesn’t really score, though he offers a threat and teams double up on him which should create space for others.
Gundogan used to chip in with important goals but now doesn’t look like he’s getting any either.
Bernardo recently doesn’t look like scoring.
Savinho hasn’t scored though he looks the most likely goal scorer out of the ones I’ve mentioned and has been unlucky so far not to get on the score sheet on at least a few occasions.
Kev and Rodri being injured has cost us some important goals and the threat they bring.
One of the biggest problems we have right now is the lack of goal scorers in the team.
Opposition simply mark Haaland out of the game and know we don’t offer enough of a goal threat anywhere else on the pitch.
If it wasn’t for Gvardiol and Stones scoring some important goals recently we’d be in deeper trouble.
Time to get back to scoring goals all across the team.
We need our fear factor back.
The exact conversation I have with my son, we have very little goal threat now so teams double and treble up on Haaland, hence why look at our other goals recently and they’ve been scored by defenders!

Hopefully if Kev can comeback (and stay fit) it’ll give the team a huge lift and give the opposition something else to worry about.
He’s the best game changer we’ve got, he can change a game in an instant with a goal or a pass.
Maybe abit of luck for Savinho will do.
I feel he’s frustrated at the minute and one goal from him and he’ll start banging them him and change his mindset.

Sadly a combination of injuries and age mean Kev is more likely to be a shadow of himself with occasional glimpses of his brilliance. We cannot and should not have factored in Kev as an integral part of the plan for 24/25 season.

I don’t get all this Grealish obsessing.

Not enough is made of what he brings to the squad, he is clearly an important personality in both City and Eng squads.

We play much better when he is fit and in the team. Much better. A bit more recognition of this might be helpful.

At the end of the day he is back training, why shouldn’t he continue that with England?

I don’t get the whining.

Rather have Nunes on the left! He is always looking for Haaland to be through ball to him and he gets assists to Grealish doesn't get enough of them!
