The thread is nominally from this season - there aren't lots of pages that are complimentary.

The thread is like the witch trials - if City don't win and Grealish plays Grealish is blamed and
if City don't win and Grealish doesn't play, Grealish is blamed.

It's a classic case of scapegoating.
I genuinely haven't noticed that.
I normally go through the player threads alphabetically and by the time I've got to Grealish Akanji has already been hung, Ake stabbed, Dias strangled and Ederson has had his left leg chopped off.
I have never managed to get as far as Walker yet but I'm sure he's due a castration

I've not really ventured into many of the others. The Rico one is just as bad. The Haaland one offers an interesting debate.

A joke post. City won and all credit has always gone to him only.hell he is called the sole reason we won treble.Him doing basic stuff is hailed sensational. Can’t have it both ways.people still call that Nottingham forest performa As his greatest ever or sensational when it was not

It devalues City's achievements to suggest what was won could had been done with 10 players - it diminishes the difficulty of beating Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Inter Milan for instance.

It also undermines Pep to suggest he'd have a passenger in the team

The fanciful notion that what was won could have been won with 10 players also then raises the question of why wasn't the treble and Champions League won before Grealish signed?
It really doesn't.

Unfortunately I seem to have stumbled across the Grealish fan club so I'm going to leave it there.

Some would say overdue.

Haha true. It was the ''why wasn't the treble and Champions League won before Grealish signed?'' comment that made me back away! They'll be after a statue soon!
On the night of the capitulation against Madrid , you'll find everything you need to know about Jack. Thrice clean through on courtois and couldn't finish. Had he managed to beat him once we'd have been 3 in front and surely what followed would never have happened.

@Luddite_Blue Are you happy with how Grealish has performed on the whole?

I'm not. He's mostly played within himself and it's been frustrating because JG has a lot more to offer but we rarely see it. He hogs the left touchline far too often waiting for the ball when he could come inside and hunt the ball or be in a better position to receive the ball. When he gets it he rarely bursts forward to whip in a cross like Savinho did last game. In his 4th season we're still seeing him get closed down and tackled. Villa didn't even mark him because they knew he was no threat to them.

I don't see him breaking sweat much, I don't see the hunger and desire to win. I see him causally strolling about waiting for the ball to slow the game down when he gets it. Like a poster mentioned has he ever been MOTM? And I'm not talking MOTM voted by us.

I was hoping to see a rejuvenated Jack start the season with a point to prove that he becomes an automatic starter, especially in the big games. When he's not been out with niggles and this 'mystery injury' he's played poor to average and average to good, never outstanding.

He reminds me of Rodney Marsh but Marsh had an end product, Grealish hasn't.

If he does get sold he only has himself to blame because on the whole Jack Grealish has been underwhelming and disappointing.

Very well said about everything.

I like Jack, I wish him well and there is clearly a good player in there but it’s just not really working out at City.

Best he moves on with our blessing and good wishes in the summer.

There's a question of respect here. The below are rightly held in high esteem by the fans of their respective clubs:

The Everton title winning team of 1970 with the midfield of Kendall, Harvey and Ball is still revered at Goodison: the Arsenal double winning team of Mclintock, George and Radford; Derby's title winning sides of 1972 and 1975 of Todd, Gemmill, Hinton and Hector; the Ipswich side of 1981 of Butcher, Osman, Gates and Mariner which won the UEFA cup and went so close to winning the league; the Villa side of Mortimer, Cowans, Morley, Withe and Shaw which won the league in 1981 and European Cup in 1982; the Everton side of the mid eighties of Southall, Ratcliffe, Reid, Steven and Sharp which won 2 leagues, the FA cup and Cup Winners Cup; the Leeds side of 1992 which won the league with a midfield of Speed, Batty, McAllister and Strachan; the Blackburn side of 1995 of Hendry, Le Saux, Sherwood, Sutton and Shearer; and the Leicester side of Schmeichel, Huth, Kante, Mahrez and Vardy which won the league in 2016.

Are you saying that in 20 years when people think of this City team it won't be KDB, Haaland, Rodri and Dias but Grealish, Ake and Stones?

People remember the best players from great teams and unfortunately Jack is well down the list of our best players.

Lock the thread? You have given your opinion and now nobody else should be able to? Great way of running a forum

Strange comparison.
I for my part will never forget the great contribution of Aké and Stones.
