10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

I actually think the complete opposite. He loves the game and would be playing Sunday mornings in the park if he hadn’t made it as a pro

It’s the requirements and discipline of it being a job, at the elite level, that is harder for him
Think your right and it is probably best for Jack to move on don't think he thrives in a rigid system which stiffles his game bit like Palmer in that respect, a Jack given a free role will probably thrive.

I would be happy if we got any money for him.

What is much more important than that is to open a place in the team for a new, younger, better, more potent player.

Needs a move as much as the club do, a new set up and manager would give him a renewed energy I reckon, free of the 100m label and scrutiny.

We won the lot and he's been a part of that so thanks for your service

I've always been a fan and I still believe he has the talent to succeed anywhere.

His biggest weakness has always been emotional. He's a confidence player but his confidence is quite brittle because it's dependent on external factors. He needs time on the pitch, touches of the ball, responsibilities and the feeling of being loved by his club and its fans and despised by the opponent. Injuries and competition for places have deprived him of a lot of that and he doesn't seem to have it in him to give himself the belief he needs.

Some players bounce back from injuries, errors, criticism and poor form with renewed fervour and determination to prove everyone wrong. But some shrink from it.

It's not a quick or easy fix unfortunately, although I'd love to see him do it.

We can argue tactics and positioning as much as you want but right now when he plays he looks beaten and hesitant.

"£100 million" has always been a heavy weight on him and I fear "a year with no goals" is another.

last year I bumped into the head chef at an altrincham game.

I asked him what it was like working at city etc and he said most the players where fine. I asked about grealish as I assumed he was a likeable player.

His reply was that grealish is a massive diva and is always staying at the campus as he and his girlfriend are always having issues.

It doesn’t surprise me to see peps comments. He has continually gone to bat for him and grealish has simply not repaid the faith. Posters saying pep asks him to keep it simple and not score or assist are lunatics. Many of these same posters where quick to slag mahrez, sterling off yet these players where consistently available and produced season in season out.

I’ve long thought grealish has a problem with the drink. It wouldn’t surprise me to see him have major issues once his career is over and the structure and molly coddling he has enjoyed goes.

I hope to see the back of him as the dressing room does not need these type of characters. They need hungry, winners to achieve what they want to do. Pep has seemingly given Jack an ultimatum

He looks to be carrying a bit more timber this season. Given our current weakness in the middle of the park I'm surprised he's not being played there.

Drinking even to the levels of a normal person, say 14 units week is a big deal for an athlete and that's what modern footballers are so if Jack is drinking this level or more it's an issue. Combine this with potential issues at home (if true) and he is going to be sub optimal mentally and physically.

This is what i have said for a long time, he lost his hunger and it is not washing with pep

Think he is looking at other options because has the trophies, he knows how hard he will have to work to get back in our side and doesn't fancy it! Saudi America is a relax place to play no pressure! Go to any team in premier he will have to perform
