10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

It is weird, for me, that some posters cannot see that different players bring different talents to the whole mix. Sometimes, we want control. Sometimes, we need chaos. Sometimes, we will play control on both wings (Bernardo and Grealish). Sometimes we will play control on one side and dynamism on the other. It is a joy that Savinho has become what he has become in the last few games, not a stick to beat Jack with. I note that few people have said that he is keeping Doku out of the team, nor referring to the number of posters claiming, unequivocally, that Savinho was not up to it, only a couple of weeks ago.

The whole team is a blend of different skills and aptitudes. Defence is the same. We use John Stones if we want a player to bring the ball into midfield and open the attack. We don't expect Reuben to do the same. We leave Walker as the last man because he brings a different skillset than other defenders.

Anyway, good luck to every player in the squad going forward.

Looks like that shop has sailed for Jack now and he'll be a spurs player soon enough - if you could think of an identikit spurs player then this version of jack is probably it
Funnily enough I mentioned to a WHU fan that Jack might go to Spurs. He laughed and said that he's the perfect Spurs player. Don't think he was being complementary.

I don't think Pep's said anything controversial. He's been hard on Jack, he's been kind to Jack and ultimately he's spot on. We need the player from the treble season who was reliable and performing consistently. There's been a collective drop in performances but Jack's not played a huge amount of football, he's not past it age-wise so he should be one who is stepping up and driving the team forward. A little bit of a kick is needed.
A fair post.

It’s a mad thing as he has justified his price tag by being involved in the treble however he’s done nothing since or before that streak.

Always feel he has no hunger for the game, it’s just a job.

He’ll never be a legend here. Which is mental.

Anyone who contributed to the treble season will be a legend in my eyes.

I actually think the complete opposite. He loves the game and would be playing Sunday mornings in the park if he hadn’t made it as a pro

It’s the requirements and discipline of it being a job, at the elite level, that is harder for him

He looks like a stoner the last few months , he does not look a happy chappy.
