10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

I think Pep would have included him on the bench today had it not been for Carsley calling him up. Pep could say he was on bench as making a come back but not available to start, could have had some cameo minutes, but not fit enough to be in contention for England as too soon.

Now Carsley called Jack up it forces Pep to remove Jack from squad and hope that Jack pulls out. Up to Jack and England now to see how this plays out.

That because those two are much younger players who have both spent last than 2 years here.

Stop with the "Poor old Jack" , "Jack is a victim" narrative. It's nonsense. No other player has enjoyed the privileges that Jack has since he came here, Sterling, Palmer, Jesus, the list goes on. Whenever any player defies Pep's instructions or think they should play more, Pep immediately moves them out to avoid discord in the team.

How many times has Jack completely done things against the interest of the team only to get a slap on the wrist? Drunk driving, being wasted on the tour bus, spending the entire end of season making a fool of himself, returning completely out of shape.

Any other player would have had the fans turn on him. Cut the fucking nonsense. If anything, Jack is protected like some fucking golden egg and going by what he contributes to the team, it shouldn't be that way.
Jack wasn't caught drunk driving while at City. Happened in March 2020, more than a year before he joined us.

And there it is
Yeah, there it is. There's a word for "it" and that's "accountability". We are allowed to demand "it" from everyone. If the fans have demanded accountability from players like Yaya (The Sell-cuck incident) and Bernie (conguitos nonsense), then I don't see why Jack's case should be any different. Fuck off with that nonsense

Why so angry? Proving my point that it's completely irrational for some people when it comes to Grealish.

You're hypothesising without an iota of information on the situation. Which proves my point that the extreme reaction is unwarranted.

Accountability for what? He's been injured. He's returning now. He wants to go away with England. I don't necessarily like it either, but the reaction is mental.

If he’s not fit to play for city today then how can he join up with England next week.
That’s a bit like saying “If he’s not fit for City today, how can he be ready to play for City next week”

Players recover from injury all the time. They have to play their first game back at some point.

Assume you’ve not watched the video then of how pissed off our manager is?

Pep is pissed when any player goes elsewhere where he and the club have no control. I understand him being angry about not being communicated with by national managers. Very much, thats unprofessional.

But he and the club make specific choices. To have a small squad. To play every competition. And his small squad of players get injured and are knackered as a result. That is not the national teams fault.

I have no truck with this “our player x always gets injured on international duty” - they always get injured on club duties ?!?

If people actually listened to what Carsley said - he acknowledge Grealish hadn’t played or been fit and therefore unlikely would factor. He probably just wants him to be present in camp, train but not play.

Another thing. All the moaning from Pep about the National teams and players/comms etc has only started since September. Something occurred when the English FA approached him about the job (and they definitely did, gave him alot of time to consider too). Too much of a coincidence.

Appears like clockwork for some topics

Yeah this could have been framed a little bit better. Pep bringing up valid talking points isn't moaning. Weird choice of words.
