Many got drunk, Grealish was something else. Nobody would raise the issue if he were professional in maintaining his fitness after that. He was in bad form for months last season, and came to life for several weeks before losing form again.

We need him in the next two months. Wouldn't be surprised if he moved to another club in January. If he is fit and plays well, then Pep might keep him. Wouldn't hold my breath, though.
or maybe you just didn’t see other players drunk like that on social media? Doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. But please, do get over it. It’s been 18 months.

Ah so you’re just gonna ignore the injuries he had last season and his house getting robbed? No, he wasn’t great last season but there’s a reason. You have no idea what Pep wants to do with him in January. Hugo Viana might love him and extend his contract. You have no idea.

I am far from Grealish's biggest fan but that comment is so wrong.

Might be wrong indeed. But I'd question his professionalism. Pep was livid yesterday.

Let's hope Grealish proves me wrong after he returns and hits a rich vein of form.

I watched Pep and saw he was utterly annoyed. That's enough for me to get Grealish must have behaved like an idiot.

Again wrong and I know it's another argument but why is Carslet picking any players, what are we paying Tommy T to do?
Agree, no idea why any injured player is being picked but they usually meet up with the squad then drop out and go back to their club. May or may not happen with jack.
Tuchel doesn’t start till Jan

You brought up Grealish getting too drunk after the treble. When was Pep “utterly annoyed” about that?

You’d question a man’s professionalism who left his baby in London a couple hours after she was born to go play against Newcastle?

That's too simplistic. Cancelo was hurt by robbers and played the next day at Arsenal. But later he behaved unprofessionally and was sold.

Getting drunk after winning the treble = sell him.

Playing at Newcastle hours after his wife gave birth = too simplistic.

Hmm.

I don’t get all this Grealish obsessing.

Not enough is made of what he brings to the squad, he is clearly an important personality in both City and Eng squads.

We play much better when he is fit and in the team. Much better. A bit more recognition of this might be helpful.

At the end of the day he is back training, why shouldn’t he continue that with England?

I don’t get the whining.

Also, I dont know why but the Jack Grealish thread doesn’t appear when you just got to “Player Performances”. It appears on the forum page when its at the top of the PP list, so you click on it directly there. But not when you just go to the PP section.

Might just be me.

This is a fair point. The players seem to like him around…Certainly his personality. I would suspect a fit Jack in the team right now would give the team more stability.

Edit: come January though I do feel Jack could be out and if not in January then in the summer. Almost all our current players are in danger of being replaced.

So in the midst of an injury crisis a player missed 5 games for his club and the miraculously gets fit to represent his country.

If it smells like ***** etc
Groin injury typically needs 2-3 weeks to recover which meets the timeline. Pep said the injury happened on the day after Wolves which was Oct 21. Start indoor recovery training after 10 -14 days and return to pitch one week later. It is just about right now.

We did not hear any clarification from City and a lot of online speculation including malicious ones circled around until Lee Carsley revealed the injury cause.

One thing for sure. You cannot fake a groin injury. Players can fake back injury but not groin.

15 mins in the gym = training? Enough to declare himself fit for selection for Country?
How disrespectful can he be to our club?
Bridges burned I feel

Assume you’ve not watched the video then of how pissed off our manager is?

So how do you explain how angry Pep is then?

Unreal how some are prepared to bury their heads in the sand, our manager is fuming, that’s all that is required to be known.

It will be because you have the originator of the thread on ignore.

One thing we all know is Pep can be a stubborn sod and based on his press conference he is more than happy for players to go to their country if fit and in his mind Jack doesn't fall into that category. If I was Jack I would watch that conference and withdraw from England or else its quite likely even a fit Jack won't get a lot of game time for us if he pisses Pep off.

He was asked if he’s spoken to Jack and the answer was yes. lol.
