I have never understood what appears to be the expectation of some in the team to do far more than others. In other words, some of our players seem to get an especially hard time from the fans. I have always enjoyed watching Jack play. I think he brings a level of control to our game that is almost unmatched. Like any player, he has strengths and he has weaknesses. I think he suffers from the expectation of wing players being flying machines, beating men and whipping it in from the byline, when that is clearly not his game. My only gripe, and it is nothing to do with Jack, is that I feel that if Jack plays on one wing, then we need a more dynamic winger on the other. If we play a second controlling winger, our play is too slow and it reduces the chances created.

I would like to see Jack more central, where I think his control would give more of an opportunity for dynamism on the wings. It would also address some of the central midfield issues that we have.

Cheers mate. I honestly don't know with Jack, he was great in the middle against Forest, less effective on the wing where Pep has played him. He's a lovely guy and great ambassador for the club,particularly in relation to less able folks - so much empathy because of his youngest sis. But on the pitch, he hasn't had the free reign he had at Villa, so I guess now his numbers will be looked at. Not helped last season with constant niggle injuries, plus the break in at the new house ( 7 miles from ours, and no it wasn't me, I am really not a Scouse Scally!), then Sash being pregnant/ baby arriving - all have taken their toll.

So a waiting game methinks....

of work aren't you? And my well thought put opinion is that your grammar leaves a lot to be desired, therefore not at the front of the queue when brains being given out. I was replying to another poster who has also noticed your intense dislike towards Jack. And as for me being a Dipper, when you made that absurd illogical accusation perhaps you could have had a look at my posts and user name. I've been supporting City since probably before you've been on this planet. Hint for the not so bright look at my user name. Jog on now.
