He is without any shadow of doubt, our worst ever signing. An astronomical fee, film star wages, and 3½ years of feck all. Not only was the presence of complete flops like Grealish a major contributory factor in Palmer seeing no future here, but he has haemorrhaged the club financially to boot. The only slack I can possibly give him is that Guardiola has completely coached any self-expression out of his game, but there comes a time when Grealish should have said "Wait a minute, you're killing me Pep!", and clearly he didn't.

He has been such a bad buy, he almost makes HS2 look like it's value for money!

Not even Peps worst signing. Let alone worst ever.

Rather than spend more money this season perhaps along with McAtee give them a try in midfield although it is only a short term solution.

On a value for money and return on money spent basis, then yes, 100%.

Approaching £150m in fees and wages for what? And don't tell me he runs around and keeps possession.
To be fair he does keep possession.Sadly the same amount of goals that I have scored for City this year.lol.if

I love Jack. But the club should be in a ruthless mode. And Jack won't make that cut if they are.

I would agree with this if he was doing any of this recently. He isn't. Not nearly as impactful as he was in the treble season.

Feyenoord especially, he contributed next to nothing.

I've seen him play well for City. He isn't doing that consistently at the moment.
He isn't playing consistently enough at the moment to be honest.

He's only had one season in his career where he's really been about end product and he hit roughly similar numbers in our treble winning season for G/A. Anyone expecting him to hit big numbers is probably remembering his time at Villa with rose tinted glasses.

I think Jacks biggest problem is his continual desire to play it safe and play the easy pass. If he was providing more of a threat and at least attempting stuff then I think fans would be more forgiving with him but it feels like all momentum has gone out the attack when he receives it

I've been willing him to do well for City's and his own sake as he seems very likeable but at the derby his general lack of focus, indifference and the unprofessional attempts at something as basic as a corner were disturbing to me..

Surely he must know he's on corners beforehand and he's got all week to practice them.Even if he's not in great form there's an opportunity to practice landing it on a square inch and create something.
But no probably got other priorities like endorsements

Rightly or wrongly feel he is burning his bridges now and saddens me to say so.
