And Doku brings things the others don’t, and at 22 has the potential to be coached in to a better version.

Grealish gonna be 30 start of next season. His race has run at City.
Sell them both then, I don't really care. Grealish is no longer part of the plans and Doku doesn't have much else besides feints and hesis.

Doku has much more than that and has been our best player at times this year. Thats not even my opinion, I dont particularly like him, but saying feints is all he has to his game is bollocks imo.

If Jack left this summer and then lines up against us next season in a Spurs or Newcastle shirt him being in their team would not worry me. Sad isn't it. That said it would be nice to get the treble winning Jack back but I think those days are gone. Happy for him to prove me wrong !

he needs a change of scenery. find his hunger again, and be bit more of a big fish again rather overpaid sub. he is down the pecking order currently up against younger ones who doesnt even deliver consistently. its not like Salah is keeping him out of side or Raphinha...

As expected not called up by Tuchel. when Southgate did it for the Euros there was an uproar. nothing like that now is it...

Not getting in england squads is going to help us move him on in the summer, seems pretty clear that he wont be going to the euros in 2026 if he stays next season.

Pep has an issue with him - that’s clear. But every player from the treble season and added to that Kova gets loyalty from Pep and game time even though it’s clear some don’t deserve to play. Grealish is getting the Kalvin Phillips treatment at this point and the strangest thing is when he has actually been given minutes recently he has performed better than most of those I’ve just mentioned. Peps cutting off his nose it would seem
Stubborn

Please stop with the nonsense

The comments coming from him talking with Tuchel aren't great. Saying he's not a player that can turn it on straight away simply isn't acceptable. Why not? All the other players at all top teams have to face this problem. All players play better when they get a run of games and find a rhythm, thats not unique to grealish that's just called form.

him basically saying he cannot play well unless he's guaranteed to be playing every week doesn't work here or at any other top side where it's all about the squad. Nobody is guaranteed their place. It's earned and if you don't perform then you're out and somebody else comes in who will perform. No team that eants to challenge for trophies can carry a player through half a dozen games on the spin so they can find some rhythm, especially when said player cannot even keep himself fit and available for that period.

He's essentially saying he's only suited to being a big fish in a small pond with comments like that.

I think that's harsh.

He's not saying at all that he has to be guaranteed to start every week. Just that without playing somewhat regularly he struggles to get a rhythm. That's something that's true of most if not all players. We say it all the time about players who struggle with repeat injuries - they don't get a chance to build a rhythm and while that's the case we don't see the best of them. I have no issue with Jack saying it about himself.

The question is whether he takes that frustration and channels it into getting properly fit, proving himself and staking his claim on a starting position, or if he just gives up.
