I know for a fact that if Grealish would’ve played for any other club the last 4 years he would’ve gotten the Antony treatment. Never seen someone getting defended like that for 6 good months, zero scoring threat, being a foul merchant. Life has to be easy when people like you for whatever reasons. The drop off from Sané to Grealish is Crazy
They are different players and to be fair to Jack we did win the treble with him in the side

So, there's the whole £100m price tag playing on people's minds.

Okay. Jack has won the PL 3 times, the prize money for winning the PL is roughly £57m. Do the maths.
Then you have winning the FA Cup. And the Champions League, possibly £80-100m just for that (Not including the other subsequent season he appeared in that he helped the club qualify for...as champion, no less). Add the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World cup, plus his appearances and advertising fees and basically...

...shut the fuck up, you fake Blue, social media, value obsessed Raggy cunts.

Still shite. Just say you fancy him and that’s why you all love him so much. He’s been an average signing at best, and Pep calling him out every 3 months means even he knows signing Jack was a mistake.

I have this Jay King fella muted: I wonder why

The problem here is that people acting like Grealish WAS THE REASON we won the champions league. Obviously everyone has their own opinion. My opinion is that he’s a flop who contributed nothing special in 3 1/2 years and is getting away with it. The fact that he is already called backpass and foul merchant On social media says it all. Another funny thing is that he is used on the wrong position when he was always a left wing. Yes he had more freedom to roam but he started all his actions at Villa from the left. When you look at Savinho and others I doubt Pep gave only him the job „ to keep the ball under any circumstances“ and to not attack the oppositions goal. That makes no sense towards what pep said at the beginning at the season when we were on a losing streak. Grealish just happened to be lucky we won the champions league. He contributed but overall he was absolute horrible. Didn’t score a goal in over a year. Even Nunes who gets slagged off here all the time played like 4 games a winger and easily outscored him

It was a team effort and everyone contributed including Grealish. If any of the team hadn't featured there's no guarantee the CL would had been won.

I'm not interested in what is said on social media rather whether Pep picked him (which he did in the first 3 seasons) during which games and trophies were won.

Kevin De Bruyne Premier League GOAT...Greatest of all time, I imagine.

Yawn. Another JCL Blue.

In his best season for City he was the 13th most played player, he was never some stalwart, no where near the reliability of a Cancelo, Bernardo or Sterling for example.

He started 12 out of the 13 CL games in the CL winning campaign including all the knockout games and the final. To me, for you to assert he was nowhere near the reliability of Cancelo or Sterling then they would have had to have won the CL. Bernardo's one of City greatest ever players so your assertion is fair enough in his case.

He just isn’t worth 100M and gets praised for doing nothing. Thats what I am confused of. When I see the slag others get I wonder where all this fan boys are coming from . I saw Nunes getting hate for not scoring in a game as a LW while Grealish gets praised for keeping the ball and never shooting until 3 players are in front of him to block his shot
Nunes hasn't won 3 PL titles, Nunes hasn't won the Super Cup or Club World Cup. Nunes hasn't won the Treble for MCFC. I have my own issues with Nunes and have criticised him admittedly, but here's the difference; I DON'T PILE ON THE HATE ON NUNES!!! I WANT him to succeed at City, I WANT him to progress. How does shitting on a player help their confidence? How does shitting on a player help the squad?

Think fucking on.

I honestly don’t get it.

The red fuckers have a plethora of shite they bought for mega bucks being paid mega bucks every week for being shite.

Chelsea have a few ditto.

It’s not Jacks fault we put a 100m price tag on him. It’s not Jacks fault Pep asked him to play in a style he had to learn.

He contributed to a period in City’s history that will be hard to emulate, and whilst he didn’t rip up any trees, he wore the blue shirt and gave his all with a smile.

If it’s time for him to move on then I wish him all the best, and will give him a clap if he comes back to the Etihad.

These modern day stat boys drive me fucking mad. The lads a decent fella, and detractors should get off his fucking back.

Modern football eh

When City did the treble Cancelo won all three plus the German title. City said he was a treble winner so assume they gave him the medals for the cubs and were obliged to for the PL win.

Carson won 2 CLs and Caballero won one against City. David Silva didn't win it either so never consistent?

Cancelo was (and seemingly had to be ) kicked out of the squad in the January so it's rather perverse for you to be handing him treble garlands when he didn't start any of the CL knockout ties for City nor start any FA cup games. The action of moving him onto Bayern was also regarded as a significant moment in and for the campaign. It also makes your linking of Cancelo with the word reliability unfortunate. You are being similarly disingenuous by comparing sub keepers with someone who played all the knockout ties in a CL winning campaign.

Lack of appearances lately - especially when Pep has seemingly settled on a system with overlapping full backs that would suit him - ultimately suggests he's gone. Rumours it's been sorted for a while & looks like it from my point of view.

This bollocks arguing that he's not been good value is just that - bollocks. He's been part of the (2nd*) best team this country has ever seen

* Centurions still best for me

Oldheads angry as expected. Just buy a CM and put him as a LW if you need a pass back merchant. Bernardo got criticized for passing the ball back all the time when playing as a winger but our 100M signing did a good job doing the same. Make it sense!

Where did I say that you are the one who hated on Nunes? I just mentioned that our record signing can get away with that stuff while others don’t. Someone like Wirtz didn’t win it either. Is Grealish a better player now because he was here during that time? Ibrahimovic didn’t win shit either. Is Grealish better than him now? Still talking like Grealish was the main reason we won those trophies. I don’t even mind getting banned from this thread. It’s just funny to see how Nunes or Bernardo get criticized on the wing for doing better or the stuff our king Grealish does. For me a flop and nothing will change that opinion. 0 goals in 24 as a left wing of a top 2 PL offense

Couple of nice bits of play but not involved enough and knackered by 65 mins. I thought it was a strange pick today given he has not played much at all recently. Looked rusty.

Worse player today, everyone seemed more invested and applied themselves.
Don't understand it, Jack can play better than that but hard to find a positive today.
