One of the most underrated goals I've ever seen from a City player.
An astonishing day really. Mike Summerbee had said live on Sky the season before after we lost 2-1 there that we'd be back there before long and making a statement - I'm not sure he, or any of us, thought it would be so soon and so spectacular.
I must say my legs were a bit fucked after doing 7 Poznans (1 at the start when their team was read out and 1 for each of our goals), but on the plus side I picked up a fair few pence from those United fans late on as the goals started raining in.
I've thought many times that United's own arrogance when chasing the game led to them getting battered by so many in the end. When they pulled that goal back, they probably felt that they could still get something out of the game which led to some huge gaps developing. At 4-1, they should've shut up shop and accepted the defeat. That's not to take anything away from us at all as it really should've been ten when you look at the quality of the chances we wasted.
