I'm very happy it's nearly back again! New stand to admire, I'm in the 1894 singing section which will make the home games more enjoyable, Champions League draw is fast approaching etc.

I couldn't care less about how City do, as long as I have a handful of decent European trips to look forward to and have a few piss ups with my mates! That's what footballs all about!

Prefer you to Chelsea though ....you have real fans (2nd best in Prem), just a bit of a fake club....rather like going to Dubai for your holidays,something a bit "fake" about it all. Love the way that Brendan has been copping some stick,wasn't he nailed on as the next City manager last year? Greatest young coach in Europe etc?

Do really wish you well in Champions League though (and i do mean that) i'm not one of those that thinks its "great for British football" bollox as every game i see Man UTD/Chelsea and Arsenal play i want them lose....even when they play each other!

Will be good though to see City do well though....great supporters!

Liverpool's fascination with 'istory is puzzling. We have quite a lot of it ourselves but we, collectively, care more about the future than the past.

We look at our well-maintained McLaren and think "how can I improve its performance for the next race", whilst Liverpool supporters look at their rusted 1982 Bentley Mulsanne propped up on bricks behind their flat and think "I am a legend".

Yep, I'd hate to be a fake club, I heard about one once where a brewery owner kicked the local team out of their stadium and imported an entire first team from a neighbouring country, I think it was @shackattack that told me about it. I'd never support a team like that and I'm sure you wouldn't either?

We are great supporters. We just don't have much of a threshold for nobheads who think that we're in anyway 'fake', certainly not when we have more of this 'history' you speak of than yourselves.
