11 days until the big kickoff and start of another glorious Premier League season.. Are you happy?

Don't let this guy hijack this thread. The question is not "do you think dippers are deluded stuck in the past self-entitled twats". There's nothing to discuss as far as that's concerned... Any City fan doing this on RAWK would have told to fuck off in no uncertain terms, and in any case would have been banned sharpish.
Banned from RAWK myself its a shit forum...

Liverpool Way is the better one...for me all fans are welcome to discuss..

5) Just some of the nasty comments....ok maybe i was a but harsh saying "fake club".....re-phrase it and say "successful over night"...suppose its the way footballs going really....bit like a war,not nice but you have to learn to live with it!
Successful over night? That's not the way I remember it pal. In fact for a good number of years we were living proof that simply having tons of cash is no guarantee of success.

And I get sick of people like you preaching down to us as though what City are doing is anything new. Your own club was doing it decades before we were, and there were plenty of others following the same model. It's ironic that as a Liverpool fan you don't seem to have any grasp of history.

I'm not content with the way we are looking. Am I missing something, or have we only signed 1 player to improve the quality of the first team? Delph is a very questionable signing as anything more than a squad player.

A few months ago everyone on here was saying we need to overhaul large parts of the squad, and throughout the pitch as well, and week on week too, yet only 2 signings?

I currently have no grounds to assume that the defence will be any better than it was last season (and it was pisspoor) - all we have is Denayer coming in for Boyata. The quality of our fullback options is woeful.

Not sure why so many are so optimistic, other than blind faith?

You're in severe danger of derailing this thread, which is for City fans to express their opinions, not for other fans to wind us up.

Take this as a friendly request to you to pack it in and for everyone else to get back on topic.

I’m very pleased with business to date.
Sterling will be great for us, the perfect partner for Aguero as he will be looking for space from a wide position on the left. He will be as important for us as he was for Liverpool!
Delph will also be great for us. Much needed competition in the middle and as he is naturally left sided he fits perfectly into a 4 3 3. You don’t need a world beater in every position and he could develop with us over time to be a lynch pin in the midfield.
From those who are going only Milner will be missed but the addition of the above two more than makes up for it. Boyata, Dzecko and Jovetic going gives the squad a lean look and allows the EDS lads to get a look in. Some great players there but time to move on.
I’d be happy to go with what we have got but at the same time we have space for 1 or 2 more and they should be reserved for the two longstanding top targets that we have.

Not really....2 horse race and real teams with a history fighting over 3rd 4th place...
Teams that really should concentrate on cups won't Newcastle and the like

Chelsea will win the league/double...you lot will be 2nd we'll be nowhere (again)......Barcelona will win CL.....Spurs Capital One Cup.....

For me the real fun is down at the bottom (incl Villa) and Championship...
Real team??..please do explain real team.

Pretty much how I see things, unfortunately. Excited to see Sterling linking up with Dave and Aguero, but none of our other weaknesses from last year have been addressed. Underwhelmed would be my take on this transfer window so far. Expecting a similar outcome to last season as things stand. Obviously hope I'm wrong.

I agree pal and I have to ask if Txixi doesn't deliver on our supposed targets or improve the squad in ways we weren't expecting with different targets then is it time for him to go? We also have to hope that pellers has learnt from last year. If vs and yaya are back to there best we will be there or thereabouts but there are a lot of big ifs and maybes heading into this season and our preparations don't strike me as impressive

1) Mathmatically it was still possible but was in the hands of others plus we were "gutted" as a team
2) Gerrard world class but been carrying us for years..past his best (knackered for want of a better word)..Sterling never was/is/going to be World class i'm sorry to say..has the wrong temprement for me as SG said "Henderson and Sterling are at opposit ends of the scale"..Sturridge? Would get injured at a kids birthday party that one...not being funny but i'd play well with Suarez firing the shots.
3) "Dead manager" well he'll never be a Wenga will he? I mean he always seems to be a " 1 loss away from the boot" or thats what it looks like from here
4) We have to sell to buy....we sell world class and buy.....Southampton players!! Makes life awkward (jury's out on Bentecke...bit Andy Carrol for me....and that was a good'n, we could have bought Aguero with the money we spent on "big Andy"

Ill take success overnight as long as you accept that you declined overnight...tbh pal youre just pissed that no billionare chose you..
