Pep has started Doku in multiple big games. And Pep isn't one who selects daft players.

That should be enough for your football brain to see that something with your assessment of Doku's football brain might be somewhat wrong...
Pep has literally said this about him: "he reads every action and knows what to do, it's incredible how he can change the rhythm in five metres but when he is not able to do that he is able to take good decisions". He definitely needs to improve his final ball when hes leading counters from the middle, but his crosses need more accuracy rather than better decision making, especially with the left foot. Which is hard because the box is always packed with defenders.

The biggest issue at this point is that he needs to score and he needs to keep trying until he does because I see matches where he just stops trying after a few saves or misses.

Headless chicken was probably harsh, sure. But he literally doesn't have a football brain and that's pretty clear to see.
Yeah I wonder how he became a professional footballer with the treble winners under the best manager of all time with no football brain, hell I wonder how he managed to do that cutback to Rodri for the opening goal against Villa with no football brain.

Hope to see him to do a Jesus style cross from RW position and put Halaand/LW/LM at near post and far post to receive it. Tired of Walkers cross TBH.

He used to play on the RW for his previous club & plays for his national team on the RW. After all, we got him as a replacement for Mahrez.

Having Grealish fit will help with this

I feel that he has made a really good start with us. He has had some absolutely superb games. He can improve, of course, as all 21 year old players can. He gets himself into incredible positions, can beat a man easily with pace and dribbling skills, and he occupies two players consistently. His final ball can improve and he could recycle the ball in his own half rather than risk dribbling in dangerous areas, at times. For a first season in a new league, well done to him.
