Given his name seems rather appropriate...to the Pearl Jam tune, Jeremy!

Jeremy Doku says he’s constantly learning and improving since his summer move to Manchester City.
The Belgian grabbed his first goal for the Club in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over West Ham United, levelling the scores just 43 seconds after the restart.
It was an exciting indication of what the 21-year-old can offer under the watchful eye of Pep Guardiola, building on a promising debut against Fulham before the international break.
But Doku’s focus is on what he can do to take his game to the next level, highlighting the importance of taking lessons from his own performances.

“I keep on learning - every training session and game,” he explained following City’s win over the Hammers.
“From the last game [Fulham] I learned that you have to be calm.
“The massive thing is to not lose the ball - I can still improve on that, even today.
“It’s about being calm on the ball and having confidence and I want to keep improving on that but today was a success.”

Pace, trickery, and a clinical finish; Doku’s first City goal demonstrated why he's considered one of the most exciting young talents in European football.
And the Belgian revealed what he remembers from the strike, expressing his personal delight after opening his account for the Club.
He also provided an insight into what his first few weeks have been like turning out for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Doku said: “It’s a pleasure. I like to play with them [City team-mates] of course. On TV they are very good but in real life they are even better.
“We started from the back, built up and looked for the free man - [Julian] Alvarez and he looks for me.
“I try to keep the ball moving, accelerate and go one v one and I decided to shoot.
“I’m telling it like it’s easy but it’s not. It was a nice goal.”

As soon as he said that he was flattered by the interest from City but before he committed he needed to speak with Pep as he wanted to be part of a project, I was hooked.

You can just sense that he has an incredible desire to be the best version of himself and he will give everything to get there. Pep is going to fall in love with this guy due to his attitude.

Doku on the LW and Silva on the RW looks like the perfect pairing.

Wtf does raw mean? I don't remember Ferran Torres, Palmer or Alvarez being labelled as that early in their City careers. Its a bullshit term.

I see a clearly refined player in Doku who knows when to take on the full back, when to retain and recycle possesion, that was a highly technical run and finish which most wingers in the PL can't execute. He's grasped the Pep system within two games now he needs to continue learning and improving.

Stinks of racial bias every time he’s called raw or people just reference his pace

That goal he scored was like a typical Thierry Henry goal. His pace and skill is incredible, speaking of Henry he even said when your 1v1 against Doku all you can do is pray. He's like Haaland an anomaly compared to a regular winger. He's naturally strong and fast, his footwork is incredible. He's only 21 which is scary.
