I'm a big fan of Doku but he's not showing significant improvement over last season and I thought he was poor yesterday. Needs a breakout game to get his season up and running or he'll fall behind Grealish and Savio.

He is predominantly a left sided winger in our system. In a much faster paced counter attacking system, he could play on the right. But for us, he can't.

He is impotent on the right coz everyone knows he is going to go to the line every time. On the left, cutting inside onto his strong foot is just as likely as blowing past a defender towards the line. This makes him infinitely harder to defend on the left.

Playing him on the right is just pure sabotage IMHO

Grealish has more "dimensions" and is more "classy" player without any doubt.

But Doku can still offer a lot as an impact sub or rotation player.

He can be frustrating. He just seems to play in his own little bubble, with very little awareness of what’s going on around him and/or of the match situation as a whole. That being said, he does worry the opposition defence and I don’t think we did that enough today without him.

Initially he was a breath of fresh air but recently stinks the place out.

Signing him also made Palmer want out as he thought he wouldn’t get the chance.
