Always loved Doku and I think there's more to come, however if we could go back in time, I would give Bilbao the extra 10 - 15m they demanded for Nico Williams.

Seems like he's playing his own game separate from the rest of the team. A winger isn't supposed to just be a one v one player, they're supposed to understand how they can link with the rest of the team.

He has great acceleration but cannot sustain it for more than a few yards. He is chaotic, some weeks he will be unplayable and other weeks unwatchable. I think he’s one of those that will always divide opinions.

Yeah it's bizarre in a way, his acceleration is unbelievable for someone who isn't actually that fast.

I’m hopeful for him. Think he’s one that needs to get sharp. He looked excellent when he first joined and then was good end of the season. Just feel he’s levelled off a bit.

I’m a bit concerned with the lack of output from any of the wingers. I’m sure Savinho will chip in but Doku and Grealish need to be better.

Oscar probably has the most potential of them all.

No doubt he needs to improve but if you go through the games so far this season i don’t think he’s been half as bad as some are making out. Chelsea 2nd half he was exceptional. West Ham he was on the right and wasn’t bad, put one on a plate for KDB. Ipswich if i’m honest i don’t really remember. Against Brentford he didn’t play. Came on against Inter and offered more than most had. Again put one on a plate that should have led to the winner. Arsenal he didn’t do a lot but the game changed massively with the Rodri injury and then our tactics were crazy after the red card(would have been difficult for any winger). He bagged against Watford. Didn’t do much in his short cameo against Newcastle probably not helped by Trippier being replaced by someone who could match Doku for acceleration which is unusual.

Not making excuses for him as at times he can be very frustrating and needs to improve his end product. Wingers tend to be inconsistent though especially with his style. The season hasn’t really fully kicked in though for quite a few players and there is plenty of time for that to change.

Needs a big performance against tonight’s weak opposition to get into some sort of rhythm and build from there.

Needs to be much better and offer much more than this if we want to win trophies. Plays like an inconsistent teenager but he’s 22.
