I forgot football was notoriously played on paper, must be why we're winning all the time.

He was absolutely wank yesterday but registered an assist. That assist changes nothing. One game against Bournemouth last season were he got half of his entire assist total.
I'll take a guy who is absolutely wank but can still create a goal especially when he's so young and can learn, much better than being absolutely wank and having wank numbers.

He proved the sum total of fuck all last season, what are you talking about?

He's always been wank.
You have pretty bad memory then. I mentioned several matches against top sides where he had major impact a couple pages back. Whenever he played the team relied heavily on him to create chances. Analytics confirm it too. In terms of shot creating actions per 90 minutes he was in the 99th percentile.

In retrospect that Bournemouth game was a curse for him because it created unrealistic expectations that he can have that kind of performance every match.

I know he has a lot of flaws that are solely his fault. His passing and shooting is inconsistent, he doesn't make enough off ball runs and has a bit of a primadonna attitude. But Im fairly certain that if the right conditions are created for him in terms of tactics and importance, he could easily be the top assist player in the Premier league.

His numbers are wank and what has he learned if last seasons numbers are better than this seasons?

He’s playing in the wrong set up. His final ball is poor by and large, nobody knows where it’s going to go, himself included. I think he could be miles more effective if he was playing with grass in front of him, but we don’t play that way anymore.

What is really fucking frustrating me is where he drops deep to receive the ball and he’s more interested in waiting for the slightest touch before he throws himself to the ground rather than running forward with intent.

His stock was high when he signed. He's had many people lauding his talent but we haven’t seen it. For someone who can beat a man so easily he is wasteful beyond comparison.

I think he’s either got to focus on himself and be selfish in order to develop his game, by that I mean more practice shooting and crossing and demanding the ball be played in how he likes it, or get used the fact that he’ll be on his way to West Ham or Tottenham in a year or two.

He had decent numbers for a debut season in England, and he's suffered from injuries this season, again I haven't lost faith in him
Have all the faith you want in him but until he starts scoring or providing assists, it means nothing, and as for decent numbers, they nearly all came in 1 game last season

I haven’t lost faith in him.

I never had much to begin with and was hoping he was being brought to develop as a player, given his age. Not seeing much development…so far.

I hope he can develop, but it remains to be seen.

Not a name that excites me when I see it in the starting line up, which is a shame. Conversely, even though he had yet to score, Savinho’s is! Go figure!
