I've never seen someone better than him one on one, other than your Messi/Neymar/Ronaldinho types. But he's got to improve his end product. I'd definitely not be looking to replace him, but I'd be looking to replace Grealish with a winger who can start immediately.

Mental to watch

Legs and Arms go like fuck, then runs a bit slower than you think he is actually running, then seems to not have much of a clue what he wants to do when he gets in the right areas.

I like him - he needs to improve a lot though
In the good old days he’d be a sub and get half an hour at the end
Unfortunately the rest are worse and he plays
Needs an end product

he puts in the effort but those final passes are criminally bad and seems like he used to make some shots in his earlier months he doesnt try to score anymore.

imagine if he tried on purpose make a bad cross every time he would have a success rate of 99%.

like he gets so tired from the dribble he has no energy left for a good cross or the technical ability. also rarely looks up.

he needs to slow it all down-be calm as pep would say.

More concerned with beating his marker than contributing to the build up

I fully get why people would be frustrated. But he did what does well excellently. I feel like if the rest of the players played to their strengths as well as Doku does, we'd have a lot more joy

Im not gonna be as hard as him as some, I think there is a lack of chemistry and he is not connectinf with the others well when he does always beat that man.

Thats a bit of a 2 way street, for me, its worrying thar Pep hasnt addressed and fixed this.

He did better than Savinho, and personally, ive been saying I think Pep should have let Gvardiol go wide and let Doku play inside more.

He needs to have some freedom to shoot more, and when he is that wide, he will not get those chances.

It also has the extra side effect of using Gvardiol more to attack that Pep has stopped doing for some bizarre reason.

Lack of end product is highly frustrating but he's the least of our worries.

He's still our biggest threat most games despite having virtually no end product. Very impressed by his strength today and worked as hard as anybody out of possession. Needs to be doing more but who doesn't.

Least of the issues. He’s mint and the end product (Savinho anybody?!) will come with time, experience and age.

I agree, and we're only relying so much on the young lads because Grealish, Foden and Bernardo have all been MIA. Young wingers are always inconsistent and they have both shown a lot of promise in certain games this season. The consistency will come with age and experience.

Frustrating player ....had the beating of Fullbacks all game and showed great upper body strength ,yet crosses were poor or overhit

Just crap isnt he. He cost the same as the entire Brighton squad btw. Quality dribbler but means fuck all when he’s that shit at the final third.

A world class winger is another priority in the summer…

That was the most starts in a row (4) Doku has had this season.

Would any player find form when they are constantly in and out of a team. People talk like Doku has started every game this season and hes the one who’s put us in this situation.

The same can be said for a lot of players.

Pep needs to think less and go back to basics. Fielding an actual working midfield three would be a perfect start to simplifying things.

I think we will be better for it.
