The running isn’t the problem. He is good at that. It’s the rest of his game that needs work. I would definately get rid of one of him or Savinho. They don’t score enough goals for a start. Doku seems to put more effort in though but like Nunes, very much a squad type player. We need better than this if we want to be winning leagues again anytime soon.

He causes the full backs chaos, unfortunately he doesn't cause the centre backs or goalkeeper chaos.

He had 3 or 4 one-on-ones today with the full back where a Raphinha, Yamal, Salah, Dembele etc.. would have scored.

In Ancelotti's total individual freedom system we would have been better off with Doku than Rodrygo this season.

For the awful 2nd half he had (his inability to press properly is bizarre), he still made the key pass for Gundogan's penalty after creating the situation himself. As I said before, he has the largest number of hockey assists and creates more dangerous situations than anyone.

In the open field Doku would be a monster, but the tactics really limit him.

That’s what most fans fail to realise. That end product might take two more season. He will be 24 years old at that point. It may never come. But one thing is for sure I am not giving up on the best dribbler in the league at such a young age.

For a player who’s ‘shit’ why does every team double up on him. So they wouldn’t agree with the fans that slate him here.

He’s like watching one of those street performer footballers who can do a thousand keepy uppies while blindfolded and catch the ball on their back etc.

A load of flashy skills but doesn’t actually achieve anything on the pitch whatsoever.

I get he offers something "different" but that needs to go along with quality , which seems to be lacking. He has flashes of quality with his end product but it's very sporadic, he can go many games without any. That's nowhere near good enough.

He doesn't seem anything more than an Adama Traore type.

I think Savinho has a much higher ceiling.

Hopefully he proves me wrong though.

We expect him to cross or pass the ball and find Haaland or another City player inside the box.

There's no point in constantly beating defenders if he can't make the final pass.

He beats the defender, then just crosses the ball aimlessly or shots straight at the defender.

He's fast and has got dribbling skills, but that's where it ends, bar the odd goal.

He's a professional footballer.

He's been playing and training football all his life and throughout his professional footballing career.

It isn't hard to learn how to pass a ball and find another player inside the box when you have beaten a defender.

If Doku had an end product he would be a great winger. As it is, he's fast, skilful, but has no or very little end product, bar the odd good goal.

Have watched the game back with an eye on Jeremy. A lot of good some not so good.
What I have noticed is all his cock ups come when he goes inside especially as the game goes on and they start reading him but is best work is the odd time he goes outside.
Imo he needs a change of plan and go outside about 70:30 and develop a little dink left footed Cross. Shouldn't be that hard.Would transform him.
Would be a shame to give up on such a talent but needs to work on this can't have more of the same.

Doku wasn't remotely as poor as some imply. Had Marmoush scored from the chance Doku created out of nothing the reactions would have been very different.

As things stand, he's our only player who can create chances out of nothing. His assists vs. Spus away, Villa, and Wolves were vital, as was his winner vs Fulham. That's 8 pts off the top of my head.

At the same point in his career Mo Salah was sent to Fiorentina on loan having delivered worse numbers than Doku for City this season. Mahrez was in Ligue 2 with Le Havre.

A bit of patience and respect wouldn't hurt.
