Magic goal and set up at least 2 fantastic chances in the second half alone. First half he seemed a bit off but also had 2/3 people on him.

The ability he has with his control and acceleration in tight spaces, for me I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before, certainly not in the way he does it.

There’s not a defender in the world he couldn’t beat on his day and now he’s starting to make the right decisions once he’s beat his man, or men.

Didn’t do enough today. I thought he was lucky to start - I don’t see him starting for a while now.

Do you think? I see Doku as far more one dimensional in the Adama Traore sense. If he can’t move the ball past the full back and use his acceleration, he’s ineffective.

Bobb manipulates the ball quicker and weaves, resulting in him being able to get past multiple players quicker.

This assessment of Doku was also only a month ago, apparently he can’t beat multiple players.

Tbf he did that when played inside against the geordies which was previously his best performance

I like the new role he is being asked to play - much more movement and is popping up in good positions as a result. Biggest compliment was Napoli were so concerned with him that they remained deep and caused no threat on their left until he was subbed. A great start to this season and as others have said we hopefully play with the same lineup on Sunday.

What makes Doku so dangerous in more central positions is his ability to change direction when running with the ball. To have that quality on the wings is great but its effects are even more deadly in central areas.
