This assessment of Doku was also only a month ago, apparently he can’t beat multiple players.

It was and I’m happy he’s had a good couple of games. I’ve always maintained that if he could make the correct decision having made space then he could be world class.

I hope this is the beginning of him showing he is becoming more decisive. He still might be a speed boat without a rudder though.

Everyone has different definitions of world class maybe yours is different to mine.

World Class is someone who is producing that sort of stuff week in week out over a number of years, he has yet to hit that level. It'll be a huge bonus if he can.

He is now and if he is consistent with numbers then I can live with his unpredictability. He is getting better and considering it is his third season then I'd like to think he is getting better. It would be a worry if he wasn't. Hope he keeps it up.

this new found tactic seems to have helped him ,moving into the middle, i've always though he looks our most dangerous player, im sure oppo fans dread him being on the team sheet, keep up the good work think it will help him he looks like a regular starter for the team at the moment , he needs to keep that form up though.

Doku could score 86 goals this season and I guarantee I will still call him shit at least once a game. Just the way it is.

Doku had a great game last night, his goal was brilliant too, may be, just may be, he's finally starting to demonstrate what Pep saw in him before he signed him - as I've said many times, we as the great unwashed know f**k all, Pep is paid to be, and is, the best manager in all the land and all the world! ;-)

Strangely it took him 2 years to figure out Doku might be better through the middle. That would be poor management in my book. Let's hope he continues on an upward curve because we need some creativity.

Interesting that Pep ran straight to mini-Pep after Dokus goal and gave him a massive hug; made me wonder whether he's noticed something that Pep hadn't seen in Doku, potentially in that he can cause more trouble drifting centrally and picking the ball up?

He did if for Fodens goal against united and then for his own goal last night

Huge step forward in performance. I will freely admit I didn't see this coming and was probably overly critical of him. I'm a fickle one.

Except hes not better through the middle. He doesn't have the vision or decision making or long distance shooting to play in the middle consistently. Hes better when he roams between middle and byline, and when he shifts sides. Essentially you need to give him more freedom to move for him to use his creative instincts in different situations and be more unpredictable. Unfortunately Pep's strict positional game doesn't allow this very much.

So Doku will continue to have average and even bad games too. You have to remember City's system is based on patience. They try over and over to find a gap to break down the bunker. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it will not. But when it doesn't people will scream he had a bad game even though he did what he was asked to do and Pep is happy, it just didn't come off that time.
