Zinchenko being solid is the best we can hope for without an good attacking LB. Been good since he came into the side.
This good attacking fullback doesn't work, we lose control far too easily, Pep's football is all about possession and Zinchenko is the perfect fit. If you haven't noticed, this City turnaround has been since his return.

Zinchenko’s versatility is what’ll help keep him here for a while. Being able to play left back, centre mid and even on the wing is the kinda thing pep likes. Also helps he’s acc fairly decent

the overhaul of the system has played into Zinchenko's hands, as he suits the inverted fullback role more than Mendy. and he generally grafts and performs at a very very steady level, he rarely excels or flops, which helps when experimenting with the formation a bit.

His performances over the last few games has been really good and he looks a much better player in the current system. I noticed last night how many times he headed clearances which I would not have expected him to get.
