This guy is the epitome proving football is won in the head.

He’s no exceptional physical attributes but is mentally strong.

If Pep had been our manager in the 90s, the whisky nosed one would have been sacked.

The club must be thinking about how he became so important to our squad.

Maybe gives them something to think about it in regards to recruitment and planning, when a seemingly average player physically, has become one of the best LBs in the world.

Raw footballing intelligence goes much further than people think.

Obviously you want both intelligence and physicality (Messi), and many would take the latter and say "They can learn the game".

They can develop the knowledge up to a certain point, but like physical attributes, many players also bring a level that some players will never get to.

Similarly Joshua Kimmich comes to mind. No reason why he should be as good as he is, but his intelligence takes him to another level.

The emotion was palpable last night for Zinny. From being a young kid that had to leave his war torn country to playing a leading role in a Champions League semi-final. His life has been full of ups and downs, he's from a working class background and all his dreams have come true. Sound familiar? Hard work and effort have got him to this position. Well done son, you deserve everything you have.
