11 year old becomes Britains youngest mother

As others have said, I'm intrigued to know if she was abused (I know by definition she was abused) and how old the father is.

Call me old fashioned but I struggle to comprehend shit like this
Out of interest, if the father is actually younger than the mother, would it still be classed as abuse, and if so, who would be the abuser?

Boys usually start puberty later than girls. That's a very unlikely hypothetical.

It’s a bit more complicated than abuser and abused in these cases where there is no coercion, grooming or age gap. Usual that both children are neglected by own parents.

Became pregnant at 10
Too young to be named and her family had no idea she was pregnant.

I have an 11 year old step-daughter and i find it unbelievable.

Things like this make me want to stop the world and get off!

Imagine having your 21st b'day and your 11 year old kid is there ..........................you just have to hope she isn't following the family tradition

Yeah, I thought that would be the case. Cheers for clearing it up.

I worked in a kids home in Tampa and a lot of the children had been subjected to all sorts of sexual abuse so many were sexualised from 8 or 9 onwards and would be "experimenting" with kids of the same and opposite sex. Obviously as staff we had eyes like a hawk on the kids so not much did happen but if anything were to happen between any of the kids there is a 2 year age gap rule that says neither kid can be charged if both consented.
We once had a 12 year old girl come in, I was shocked when the paperwork said 12 as I guessed 15 / 16. I knew straight away that we would have the boys fighting each other to win her affection!
We had to keep warning a 17 year old boy to keep away from her and remind him she was 12 and he would be in big trouble and classed as a peado for the rest of his life - even if she consented because it was over the 2 year rule. He wouldn't listen and in the end we had to transfer him to another group home for his own safety.

I used to work in the children's placements team in a local authority. Part of my job was to redact or anonymise their profile documents so it could be sent out to private providers of childcare facilities (fostering or residential children's homes). There were a few cases that involved boys abusing younger brothers or sisters and coming into care as a result.

There a few specialist children's homes dotted around the country that are boys only and provide "sexually harmful behaviour" treatment but I'm sceptical of the efficacy, because every boy at the home will be similarly inclined in terms of lacking respect for consent and boundaries an. There was one lad sent to one of these facilities who was cognitively impaired so much he needed help from carers in crossing the road like a small child.

I suppose, their main purpose is to manage risk of their behaviour to other children they come into contact with.

As you have almost certainly experienced some children in care also throw about malicious allegations against other children and staff.

And staff!

Yep that’s what I meant to type, now corrected.

There was one lad (homosexual) who had a notorious reputation as a risk to other boys, who had made repeated allegations against various staff and it was then shown that not only were they unfounded but a member of staff who had been smeared wasn't even working and present on site when the alleged offences were meant to have taken place.
