A barrister has described a 13 year old girl as predatory and said she was sexually experienced. This was in court where a 41 year old man was charged with sexually abusing her. From what I can gather from the BBC article it appears he was only caught because the girl told her mates!

The CPS have said the language used by the barrister was 'inappropriate'........no shit!

Cue lots of petitions on Twitter, and if that barrister has an account he'll probably have to close it now.

Having worked in many rough schools, I can safely say its more than possible, sadly.

There's a difference between being a horny teenager and being predatory. Unless the bloke in question had some sort of learning difficulties, he should've known better. Also this:

During a search of Wilson's home officers uncovered a cache of images and videos depicting child abuse and bestiality.

Yeah, really sounds like the type of bloke who had to be pressured into this.

What are you surprised about?

I currently have 10+ cases of girls in the north west area who have sexually exploited another person, the youngest offender being 11- it's more common than people think!

I'd love to have seen the history/psych assessment of the girl!

From what they are saying on sky, reading between the lines
The 13 year old groomed the 41 year old
He has sex with her
Goes to court & he walks free

I don't know what the shock is with all this. Lets take away the paedo for a minute, as he should have been sent down if he knew how old she was.

How many times have you drove past a girl from behind, looked at her legs on show and then had a sneaky look in your rear-view to see her face? I have, and sometimes it's clear she is under age and you feel a right **** for it. Now there are girls who dress that way and purposely go out looking for sex, even though they know they are under age. I can't and won't say too much but I know of a case where this has happened round here, and it's currently on-going. It's slightly different in how the guy was told she was over the age of consent, but the matter of fact is she is 14 and she went out purposely looking for sex and found it.

It's about time someone of authority, in this case a judge, let the 'victim' know that the paedo isn't totally to blame as this kind of thing happens alot.

It would be very interesting to see how her parents (or probably lack of) have brought her up and taught her about values, sex, etc etc.

It might be interesting but it has got fuck all to do with this.

Neither has the fact people have worked in schools and know that some girls are up for it. In the rough schools obviously.

What is relevant is that a middle aged man had sex with a child. And I hope it is referred to the court of appeal because eight months suspended is a joke in my opinion.

The 14 year old with the teacher was acceptable. Now a 13 year old who consented is fine.

Just out of interest, what age would some of you people consider to be the age where you say; you know what, I don't care if she did consent, this **** took advantage of a child and deserves a bit of a sentence that reflects that?

Many adults are 'spared jail' in cases involving sex with people below the age of consent.

Here's one from earlier this year.

100% agree. There should only be black and white with cases like this. The guy obviously is not all there.
