Went with my Dad in the Wycombe end. My Dad sees this as the lowest point of his City supporting life. He dawned on us how far we'd fallen. Grim.
Same here, don't think I've ever felt so depressed after watching us than that night, other than Morrison it was gutless. The only good thing on the night was I was home before 10pm.

Chesterfield away. I remember the police locking us in a pub after the game because Chesterfield fans were 'on their way'. When we were eventually let out there were street battles all the way to the train station.

Seem to recall Lee Crooks scoring a rocket that day.

Hope you didn't bring her during the Pearce season. She'd have had you up for child abuse!!

Me and my lad went, he liked the huge hot dogs and met Moonchester dressed as a human. I remember having to drive north then turn round and head back south, after the game, because the junction heading south was closed and we live in Sussex .
And I was at elm park, oxford away, sarfend and all those other memorable games.

one of the all time lows
and considering how long I have been following City that is saying something
went with a bunch of top lads with leve blues but even all the good lads and the excessive alcohol couldn't lift the gloom on the way home that night!

Ha ha - I remember that trip well. God knows why Deano ordered us out of that pub in Banbury Cross and back on the coach when we were only 40-odd miles away and there was still two and a half hours until kick off time.

The football wasn't the best at times that season but we got promoted and won far more games than we lost, unlike the season before. And almost every away trip turned into a great day out....or weekend away!

Anyone at the 3 0 defeat 7 months earlier at Elm Park! Absolutely dreadful stood on the terraces and a group of blues near us stood with their back to the game. The guy I went with was a barrister and went to the game with his cape (is that the technical term) in his hand and the shiniest black polished shoes. Later at Reading station the actor who used to play Billy Boswell and an actress who used to be in Eastenders, the barrister and me (bizarre combo) contemplated the very likely reality of div 2 football. Never saw any of the three of them ever again! Beardsley played for us that day and badly!

Yep I was there that night too unfortunately. We were Royally stuffed. It was freezing. The crowd was small but noisy and we were shit. Is it my memory or did it piss down that night too on the open terrace?

Next season we got our own back though and stuffed them Royally in their shiny new stadium in front of all their glory hunting JCL's :-) Oh Terry Cooke he's not a, errr, rag twat any more.......
