Played like he has found his new team . Hugging The backroom staff in our he tunnel at half time . Might have just found his new team .

at fault for 2 goals today which is a shame as he works hard and i like him. i go from having stones/dias ....dias/laporte as my 1st choice but stones injury has sorted that out.

I'm a fan of Laporte, but he can see Vinicius all the way their second goal and how he doesn't close him down and either take the ball or the man before he get's to the box, is unbelevable to me.

However, some of the negative opinions about him are laughable.
Pep plays him when he's fit and we have the best defensive record this season, so he obviously can't be that bad.

Always been supportive of him and think he's class but that's two games in a row he's not closed down the attacker with the ball?

The handball is unlucky. Are you supposed to jump up with your hands to your side now?

No, but I don't think you Are allowed to head the ball off your own hand.

I know laporte is always on the verge of being a scapegoat but Why the hell is he getting the brunt of the blame for the second goal and others haven't even had a mention. dinho let's him go, mistake that we had to expect given his age and unfamiliarity with the position so poor mistake but hard to lay blame there. Rodri is miles away from covering, should have been deeper to come round on the cover especially when he knows he doesn't have the mobility to recover and Dias is practically in their fucking box, fuck knows what he's doing. laporte could and should have closed it down, he's left with a bunch of shit options and made the wrong call but of Dias, Rodri and laporte, laportes error is the most excusable in my eyes, I'm looking firmly at Dias.

Penalty is just one of them, hand shouldn't have been there, looks moronic to us watching on but anybody that's every played the game at even a Sunday league level knows your arms naturally go up, just one of those things.

Laportes still been our best central defender all season, some of the shit he gets is laughable.

‘He made mistakes but he was fine”

Yeah you have no chance to made mistakes in the knockout round. That mistakes maybe cost you UCL title. Like Tottenham game.

Just hasn't been the same since that knee injury, which is a shame. Too many mistakes have crept in and the backline just isn't as assured as it is with Dias and Stones.

The 2nd goal was particularly poor, it was a simple case of cutting Vinicius off and Zin covering Benzema. For some reason, it seems the authority of Dias and the teamwork at the back goes out of the window when it's Eric in there. Here, either Zin didn't shout or Eric didn't listen, either is a problem.

I lile the guy and he's very talented, but there's a real lack of aura in that backline when he's in it, for some reason.
