"This is something Rodri never faltered in"

Just objectively false, isn't it? Rodri... despite being the best player in the world... is a human being who also gives the ball away all the time. In fact, I hate to break it to you, but Rodri is dispossessed on average once every game. https://www.thepunterspage.com/player-dispossessed-stats/

This idea that somebody is going to come in who never loses the ball is stupid. Remove it from your brain because it doesn't happen and it's never going to happen.

Yeah but apart from that?

He must not watch many games because it happens pretty often. It just doesn't get punished because Rodri wins the ball back almost immediately or applies pressure for someone else to win it back or get an interception.

Gonzalez could've fought to win the ball back if he wasn't busy getting trampled from behind.

Bro you can't be serious? Dias' ball put him in a bit of difficulty. He didn't make a "bad" touch. he took it away from the guy on his back who then put his knee through his back leg with plenty of force compounding it with going on to crash on him. It's a foul every day of the week.
That kid was moving to the ball the whole time he was in there making himself available and closing the opposing passing outlets when necessary.
I respect you SY but to say disheartening is way over the top. I will tell you right here and now this kid will become massive for us.
Respectfully I disagree, the pass to him was as basic as they get. He took a terrible touch and failed to control the ball, and didn't shield the ball properly, lost it and fell over. Look these things happen, you can go back to my earlier posts and see how highly I rate him. I just really wanted to see how he keeps the ball under pressure, that was the #1 thing I wanted from whoever is replacing rodri because that's rodri's best attribute and so for me that was really annoying to see and I hope he performs better in that aspect of his game. He'll learn from it I hope.

Rodri's best attribute is that he's very hard to press and that he's an incredible technician on the ball. He's always in control.

We'll just have to agree to disagree...

Very surprised at this thread. I thought he looked very decent for a debut. His movement and awareness were good and he kept the ball safely moving. I thought he was fouled by the opposition player's left leg coming across he right thigh, and then fallen upon. The loose ball was chipped for a worldy, and that can happen.

He looked quality.

Got unlucky today, I think it was just a precaution though. Was brilliant when he played, bar the goal (potentially a foul, but still got caught)
First time in a while a city player has stopped a potential attack in the opposition’s third.
