His passing was probably too safe, but that not just a him problem. The whole team is scared to lose the ball and so plays slow and safe, which creates nothing.I don't think he was the problem today.

I'm not writing him off yet, he may well prove to be a very adequate midfielder of his type - a useful stand in for Rodri. I'm just frustrated that we didn't address the burning issues we have in the middle of the park

An observation more than criticism of him but he has a really strange kicking/passing technique.
I thought today he had chances to go slightly longer in getting the ball to the wide men but opted for the shorter pass to the nearer player.
I don’t know if his technique prohibits longer passing or shooting.
