he's been signed for his 'metronomic' qualities, i think that's plain to see after a handful of outings.Had two teammates who kept losing the ball every time he passed to them. Tough day for the lad, had no help defensively in the middle of the pitch either.
I mean to be fair you’ve decided you’re not having this guy after about 5 appearances. You may not be a rag but you almost certainly should be a scout if you’re able to accurately read a players ability that quickly. You don’t even know what you’re saying now.
Well done for winning the bluemoon massive blue bingo today though.
I was amazed that Kovacic did not start alongside him, he was utterly on his own for much of the game, weird tactics from Pep.He played Bruno G off the park a week ago.
He’s since played away in Madrid and Liverpool today. Quite the baptism of fire.
As others have said, he was our midfield today.
When our system isn’t working fluidly, our 6 looks slow and ponderous. It happened in Rodri’s first season, ironically mostly because we had no fit centre halves.
It’s folly to write Nico off yet. His potential showed against Newcastle.
Yes. We’d be better off than we are, simply because of how good he is, but not hugely.he's been signed for his 'metronomic' qualities, i think that's plain to see after a handful of outings.
Which raises another worrying question, would we still be shit with Rodri? is the general drop off in too many players just too much or could a player of Rodri's stature rally them all?
Writing someone off after 3 and abit games is ridiculous.
If we get another with pace alongside themHim next to Rodri is gonna be fucking brilliant next season.
Pace would be nice but it isn't top of the list for our AM requirements, quick thought, good movement ,creative passing , the main attributes, pace would be a bonus. If we get another with pace alongside them
Rodri would have put one into the top corner with 10 minutes left. Then we'd have Gvardiol popping up with an equaliser. When everyone's fannying about Rodri sorts it outYes. We’d be better off than we are, simply because of how good he is, but not hugely.
The big problem yesterday was with the lack of quality in what should be the number 8/number 10 positions. De Bruyne and Foden were both utter wank. Nothing Rodri would have been able to do about that.
Not for me, we have seen with Marmoush and Khusanov that pace is a huge asset, defending or attacking, it's scares opponents.Pace would be nice but it isn't top of the list for our AM requirements, quick thought, good movement ,creative passing , the main attributes, pace would be a bonus.
I still think Carson will come good.Writing someone off after 3 and abit games is ridiculous.
But with Doku, Savinho, Haaland, Marmoush, we have pace, what we need is somebody with the nouse and ability to play those players in,and also press when possesion is lost, as in KDB, but obviously not KDB because there is only one of those. Not for me, we have seen with Marmoush and Khusanov that pace is a huge asset, defending or attacking, it's scares opponents.
It’s not essential for players in centre midfield , being able to read the game , having an engine and technical ability are all preferred qualities over paceNot for me, we have seen with Marmoush and Khusanov that pace is a huge asset, defending or attacking, it's scares opponents.
