if he cannot get into this side with the form our of midfielders now, what chances he has when Rodri is back, and we sign 1-2 more midfielders and eventually replace Gundo.

seemed odd we were in big need of a DM in December and expected DM signing to happen first week of January but then we still decided to hold off with this transfer until last minute of the window like we were not 100% sure or maybe we had someone else in mind.

apparently Arsenal sorted out Zubimendi for 50m, who imo is a level or two better than Nico G but same price, we may have overpaid a bit here.

The reality is he should be in the side but the coach is irrationally loyal, stubborn and has lost the plot.

I want Gonzalez to do well here and he's shown glimpses so we've got to give him time. I don't love this Jorge Mendes connection we are growing though.

Assuming he won't play in the cup final, it's incredibly bizarre that he hasn't started today, against the worst team the premier league has ever seen

From what I've seen of him, i think he's looked OK, certainly good enough to start today's game and have an impact

With the benefit of hindsight, I do wonder whether we would have bothered signing him now, as I don't see where he gets a game next season if he can't get one this season

There’s blatantly something Pep doesn’t rate about this guy. Threw him in at Newcastle, which was a massive game. Spurs away too.

Now he’s bench warming
