15 Years ago today

Sat right in the middle of their end. One of the most evil, despondent, desperate atmospheres I've ever known at football.

It was very noticeable at the end that whilst city going into the third tier was a bigger underachievement and bigger disaster than stoke, their fans booed whilst ours sang our loyalty.

'Are you watching, Macclesfield?'

Bad times indeed but thanks to Mancini those days are long gone.

And to the ADUG. They had a small hand in it! :-)

Thank God those days are over though. I'm just happy we're relevant, let alone in the Premier League.

Was a proper dodge City day this, remember being shoved onto coaches by police from train station to ground for our own safety and when we came out not one window left in the buses on way back.

You name it and it was used as a missile that day.

Thank you Sheik Mansour for every last detail you have made to our club.

Those years really defined us as a set of supporters. The fans still singing for the club after relegation, the attendances actually went up the following season. We must never forget the spirit that we showed and that is a huge factor in us being where we are today.

Next time anyone asks where were you when you were shit, show them this match.

Took the lad that day, he was only about 13/14. The look of terror on his face as we walked to the coach with stones, bricks, bottles raining down....and the coach journey home. I cried that day. Horrible.

They were really desperate days

BUT

We handled it with good humour, I remember at the time thinking what would become of us, never in my wildest dreams did I beleive we would become the force we are today

Jesus, I know life goes by so quickly but this has shocked me.

How much has happened since this, feels like a different life.

-- Fri May 03, 2013 7:13 pm --

I always harboured a hope of being in top flight but never in anybodies wildest dreams could we have predicted this. Even when Sinawatra took us over I was in dreamland, nobody in their right mind could have dreamt this.

Will never forget this. Was my 19th birthday and also the day my mate had his daughters christening. For some strange reason he named me godfather.

An offer I couldn't refuse!

Spent the whole of the day flitting between the room that had the match on and the christening party.

Wouldn't change it for the world. It makes us what we are today.

Yes I am pissed
