#16 | Rodri - 2020/21 Performances

It feels like we're living in an alternate reality. Imagine a few months ago saying that Rodri, Gundogan, Cancelo, Stones would all be vital players for us in a title charge. Potentially all those were linked away and now absolutely undroppable. Long may it continue!

I’ve been critical of Rodri in the past but he has been excellent in this recent run of winning games.

He is a fantastic player but I never had my doubts like many on here. He has elevated us this season in much the same way that Fabhino did for the vermin last season.. similar situation where it takes these players a year to adjust.

He is far more cultured than Fabinho though, younger with a higher ceiling.

His height has also made a huge difference as we are quite physically imposing all of a sudden.

We are lucky to have him.

He [Rodri] adapted quick. He adapted immediately. He is still young. There are some issues he still has to learn and he will learn it. But he is a really important player for us

With Var Roy Keane, would spend more time suspended than playing, not much use to any team in 2021.

Yeah he's leaving us very exposed. That's why our defensive record this year is so abject. We should see if we can poach one of the Scum's elite midfielders.
