Someone explain to me why Dinho absolutely has to start over Rodri considering the absolutely diabolical midfield performances we’ve had in CL knockouts with Dinho as the lone DM.

Not trying to criticise Dinho because I love the guy, just looking to understand where this confidence that Dinho will fix our defence in CL comes from?

Fernandinho to me has been without a doubt been one of the main big game players we've had in this squad, ever since he got here. Was at Shakhtar too, where he specialised bossing it in the CL. Not sure what games you've been watching.

The issue wasn't mainly our defence tonight. It was the release of the ball under pressure and how quickly we were moving it forward. When the pressure goes on, both Rodri and Gundogan's first insticts are to slow it down too much and play sideways.

Affects our game way too much.

This... Rodri has been so consistent this season and has been a key figure in many games during our incredible run. Tonight was not his best but I suspect the guys calling him poor are the same ones that only a few games ago were saying we are a better team without Kev...delusional. Hope he plays in Germany and has a blinder.

Needs to stop his mard-arse cheating antics, clutching his face and not even touched. He did that when he first arrived at City and he's not got it out of his system yet.

Ederson, Diaz and Rodri made some stupid mistakes yesterday and we were lucky not to get punished.

Cancelo, Stones and Walker mere more stable and confident..

But I think it will be great experience for them during the next matches.. I don't think Ederson will forget that moment soon and same applies to Diaz and Rodri..

Sometimes you need some luck and now it's up to boys - how they will use that..

Against both United and Dortmund at home, he’s looked a slow and cumbersome player, easy to force bad passes out of if he’s pressed, easy to run past in midfield.
