The Gundo-Rodri-KDB midfield just doesn't work in the big games

Conte knew his weakness and without Bernardo as deep to cover it up for him, it was easy for them to exploit it. Bypassed very easily and nothing he could have done personally to stop it happening.

Hopefully Pep sees Bernardos energy and mobility is essential in that area in the big games for our midfield to work and doesn't repeat this against any of the other big sides we still have left to play.

His performance today was a big surprise , well off the pace and was bypassed in midfield and didnt get near Kane in the centre of the park which allowed to him set up attacks for Spuds , he's been brilliant this season so i am not going to go overboard. But we need a fully firing Rodri if we want to retain our title , hopefully the Spuds game is one off.

There were some signs of what was to come in the early stages of the Sporting game. I think Pep was definitely including him when he said some players didn’t play well in that game.

The Sporting and Spurs games have been his worst performances in a while, reminded me of his early games with us. That blind backpass he does could have killed us later in the tournament, and he just couldn't find his rhythmn yesterday. Hopefully it's just a blip and he's back to his best soon.

we need bernardo with him for teams that overload the midfield. He was under pressure a soon as he got it. We need another option. going to rodri everytime plays into contes tactics.

not excusing him as he is usually better under pressure and i think he was poor compared to his regular performances but he does need help agunst 3-5-2/5-3-2

We need a fern replacement it really is that simple.we are lacking a player who can cover the ground similsr to a young fern.
